Amazing staff, great food, pleasant atmosphere for an evening with friends or a quiet dinner for two.

Drove in from out of town because this place was highly recommended. Did not have a reservation and even though it was Father’s Day eve, we were seated promptly. Seemed like the wait staff were all in a good mood and we were provided our initial drinks and appetizers quickly.

I will change my review out of consideration to the owner. I was unable to eat due to the loudness of other patrons.I considerately asked to eat away from the distraction as my wife and I could not share a conversation in a normal tone. The server was very sweet and kind but was unable to meet our request due to an incoming group. Normally in fine restaurants the clientile is considerate of others .This is more of a review on a specific incident than the food and service .

I finally made it to the Nest for my 50th Birthday and my experience was awesome. Our waitress, Angela was friendly, professional and efficient! The food was GREAT!! I had the Seafood trio that had scallops, lobster and shrimp and it was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were perfect. I totally recommend this place, you will NOT be disappointed!! I will definitely be returning.

My family and I visited The Nest for my birthday and everything was sooo delicious and not only did it taste great, their portions are filling. It sincerely was worth every dime. It’s now one of my favorite restaurants!!!

Total disappointment. Previous experience here was excellent. Not this time. Very slow and virtually absent service. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our dinners, yet we had a reservation. Onion soup was poor. Salads were average at best. Mediocre bread – served with packets of butter – was far below what we expect when paying these prices. Our entrees were quite good but not excellent. This experience was far below what we expected for a $150 dinner for 2- and this didn’t include the tip. Never again.

The food was good. This place would benefit from a few good lessons on serving for the younger waitstaff though. Sitting with empty drinks, and waiting around on the check for a long time can leave a bad taste in the customers mouth. At this price point, the service should be a few steps above average. Unfortunately our experience left a lot to be desired. If I ate here again, I’d opt for takeout.

Even though I grew up in the area this was the first time I’ve ever been to The Nest. I think my parents always saved it for themselves, leaving us kids at home. Now I know why. Spectacular staff. I had the cucumber spritzer which was delicious. Very good appetizers and the cocktail sauce was spicy in a good way. Everything was fabulous, lobster was tender, shrimps were big and juicy, and the scallops were delicate and melt in your mouth.

Lobster Tail was the consistency of a super ball. When we sent it back the server confirmed her manager agreed it was overcooked. 15 minutes later we were told that the lobster is cooked on a timer so that’s why it’s taking so long. Our waitress was wonderful but please, drive to Pittsburgh people; this is a horrible waste of time and money.
