Our Rooms
Double
This room type has one full size bed and is the smallest room in the hotel. It does have a private bathroom with a shower. There is just enough room to walk around the bed. It has an island view. There is one located on each floor of the hotel.
Queen
This is our standard room with both ocean and island view options. All of the bathrooms in the standard queen rooms have bathtubs and can accommodate just two guests.
Twin
Offering two single beds these rooms are an economical way for two people to share a room without sharing a bed. We do have one with an ocean view on the third floor of the hotel.
Corner Queen
These rooms sit on the four corners of the first and second floor of rooms. They are slightly larger than a standard queen size room and with two windows offer more cross ventilation. Some have an ocean view and others look toward the island.
Queen/Double
These rooms have a queen bed and full size bed in them accommodating up to four people. All bathrooms have a shower and all of these rooms offer an island view. There is one located on each floor of the hotel.
Queen Superior
With two queen size beds these rooms can also accommodate up to four people. They all have ocean views and the bathrooms are outfitted with tubs and showers.
Suites
We have four suites on the top corners of the hotel. They each have a bedroom with a queen size bed and a living room with a day bed that can be made into two single beds. All suites are equipped with a small refrigerator. There are two with ocean views and two with island views.
Old Harbor Suite
This is our only ground floor room and is built for handicap accessibility. It is one large room with a king size bed as well as a living area that offers a day bed with a trundle to make two separate single beds. It is on the ground floor so it does tend to be noisy as the restaurant porch is directly outside the room.
Skylight Deluxe
Located on the third floor, it is one large room with a king size bed and an ocean view. There is a small sitting area as well as a vaulted ceiling over the bed.
Rhode Island Suite
Located on the lobby level the new suite offers two sleeping areas, one with a full size bed and one with a queen bed. The bathroom is built to be handicap friendly with a large roll-in shower with a rainfall showerhead. The room does have a small refrigerator and a door that opens to our back porch. Because it is located on the lobby level, it does tend to be noisy especially on the weekends.

My wife and I just stopped in for a couple of cocktails and were happy we did. We enjoy imaginative well crafted cocktails and we were not disappointed in our selections. The Great Salt Pond was among the best dirty martinis I’ve had and my wife enjoyed her Blue Reign which was a simple but tasty hard lemonade with a excellent blueberry vodka floater. We will be back to sample the inviting food menu. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked quite tempting.

The food at The National was fantastic! My favorite was the lobster salad! It was so light and delicious perfect for a nice lunch before exploring and there was a ton of lobster! The clam chowder was also fantastic and I highly recommend it!

Having dinner here made my day on the island. I was early (4:30) but the fish & chips were out in less than 10 minutes, and I probably finished it in the same time since it was excellent. The lemon-lime tartar sauce they provide is one of the best I’ve had. Coupled with shady outdoor seating and prime views of the harbor, it could not have been better!
