It was my first time at The Monocle, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s very intimate and cute inside the restaurant, very rustic. My only complaint was that it was very chilly in the restaurant.

Overall it was a perfect dinner. The noodles in the lobster linguini would be my only complaint. Fresh noodles are easy to make and these tasted like the kind from a box.

Our first time here but definitely not our last. This has become our nee favorite restaurant in DC! I had the ribeye, she had the pork chop and we shared the lemon pie……. all were excellent! We also highly recommend the grand old punch!

I am traveling so was dining solo and ate at the bar. Had delicious crab cakes for dinner and crème brûlée for dessert and a fabulous espresso martini. The food was great and the service was impeccable and made me feel pampered. Highly recommend!

My NY Strip was just perfect!

This place is perfect for business dinner or with colleagues. Short, but professional menu with meat and seafood. Try steak or salmon, you will get the high end. The staff is kind and direct and the interior is very interesting. Recommended!

More of a 4.5… the Monocle is a DC institution on the Hill. It’s a political hot spot with the volume to match. Lots of suits during the lunch crowd. Ambiance was busy with a more mature crowd.

We really enjoyed this place. We had the hanger steak, salmon, calamari, Squash, berries, and creme brulee. All were very good. Service was top notch. Decor was cool. I would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I had a delicious Father’s Day dinner at the Monocle Saturday night with our son and his spouse. The atmosphere was warm and inviting—elegant without being stuffy. The service was impeccable. And the food was delicious, ranging for us from crab cakes to calves liver to lamb chops. Highly recommend this place to see and be seen on Capitol Hill.
