This was my first visit to this “pricey” place and probably my last. Longhorn and Black Angus steak houses are easier on the wallet and somewhat comparable.

The Stagecoach and Grill Short Ribs Sandwich Combo at the Meat Cellar restaurant @themeatcellar Tender, flavorful short ribs and rib eye packed between two slices of heavenly bread. Beautiful restaurant, honest good food, and reasonable prices – a rare gem these days!

I got to know the Meat Cellar whennit was at it’s previous location, and next door to the Starbucks. There was a common outdoor patio, and i was going to Starbucks regularly, then one weekend the meat cellar folks were BBging in the parking lot amd the rest is history. I’ve been with them every since. It was wonderful to see them grow into where they are now. I’ve been toball the best steak house’s in all of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Bay Area, including Harris Ranch.

This was our first time at the Meat Cellar and the place was very nice. However, the steaks are over seasoned. The meat should only require salt and pepper, not all the extra seasoning that was on the ribeye. The service was great.

Good food, but atmosphere was way too loud. This was early, around 5pm. My father and I were unable to have a conversation because a loud table of 25 were seated by us. Hopefully in the future they can seat large parties in a separate room so they don’t disrupt other customers.

I just wanted to start by saying the food was good and the steak was exceptional. However unfortunately I feel I must place a disclosure “buyer beware” to this review. After a pleasant dinner with my family, we got our final bill, needless to say I almost fell out of my chair! The final bill came to $995 for the five of us. It was nothing extraordinary with our choices and drinks so I thought. The reason was they charge for some of the cuts of meat by the pound at market price. Now I know when it has MP by the item usually the server can disclosed the cost per item. In this case, if we knew that it was by the pound at a hundred dollars a pound. So that wagyu tomahawk steak cost us $500 and per the server’s recommendation the Japanese wagyu which he claim was his absolute favorite was $264 for 8oz of meat. Now with all that said, I know I should carry the responsibility of being educated and aware before we attempt to dine at a establishment like The Meat Cellar but I guess my purpose is to warn others of the high cost of some of the menu items and be better prepared and informed before they order. I feel like I’ve been duped and misinformed. Again not discrediting this restaurant but just informing others before you come here.

Extremely overpriced food for nothing special. Great service, no knock on that but the food was not even good. Bland salad. No flavor. Oversweet fish and vegetables. Meats are unspectacular. Kids meals are poor. Been here a few times, hoping to get it right, but no longer, thank you.

Instagram Ad Fail! Mediocre steak for $130 plus tax . NOOo!!! Don’t fall for the gimmicky menu. Small print doubles the price of the steak. Steak is listed at $65 Why not just list the actual price? The bar tender walked me through the menu and didn’t warn me about the price, my steak alone was $130 plus tax and still had to pay for a $15 side and a $15 drink. Food did not justify the price. In my opinion there is no steak that is worth $130 and they fix the menu for this reason. I felt ripped off and the bartender didn’t want to look at me in the eye when he brought me my check because he knew what he did. A weekday dinner date ended up costing me almost $400. Poor service and I hope more people catch on to this because I’ve seen other reviews on this. ALL BAD!! I’ll stick to the good honest steakhouses that I know.

We made a reservation and were seated quickly. The waitress took the time to explain the menu, twice, with a smile.
