This place has the potential to be awesome, but that awesomeness missed the mark on our first visit. It’s the little things that just kept adding up. I’d like to give them a 3.5 if I could.

Lovely Gatsby vibe, wonderful artwork and ambiance. Food was delicious and service was attentive even though they were busy due to the fair. I had a sandwich with their homemade slaw for a side and my friend had the carbonara. Many flavored teas and lemonades available.

First off I want to say this is a neat atmosphere. The reviews don’t seem too bad. Our waitress was really cool, not all was lost here. This was a new place we wanted to try while celebrating our friend’s birthday. Three of us order the Delmonico steak. All were undercooked from how we ordered them and all of us experienced extremely tough chewy steaks, not at all what we expected from this restaurant. Cool brand on the steak though. Visually looked good, however I’m certain Gordon Ramsay would have lost his freaking mind on how tough these steaks were. When it was brought to our waitresses attention, we were told that our drinks will be comped. Not really what we wanted or expected, but figured we’re not gonna let it ruin the mood. Two of us ordered salads $6 each for a tiny 3×3 tapered bowl of house salad. What was disappointing is that neither the manager or owner came over to ask what the issue was with our steaks. Mind you this was not one steak, this was all three steaks. None of us ate our steaks, yes they were that tough. Our waitress said it might have been how they cut the meat…We were super disappointed with how this was handled. I should add the birthday boy said his spaghetti and meat balls were OK. There wasn’t much sauce so the spaghetti noodles looked fairly dry. Not to end things on a bad note, the 1920’s apple sauce was delicious. Kinda like a personal sized apple crisp.

I got the roasted pork chops with a side of warm applesauce and my husband got the swordfish. Both of our meals were exceptional, especially the cherry compote. The chef introduced himself personally to check how our our food was. We will 100% be returning.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. The Chandlers are gorgeous on the market side. And the mural and the star lights are incredible on the Tap side. The food is even better the cheese curds are to die for. HIGHLY recommend this place!
