This restaurant is a must stop. I am so glad that we did. The food and service were above and beyond. Hopefully, you’ll get Cheryl because she’s phenomenal. I wasn’t completely satisfied with my mojito and she re made without any hesitation it and made sure that it was delicious. We ordered the dumplings because we read the reviews and they definitely didn’t disappoint. The lamb shank, beef & lamb kabobs were also delicious, but just a bit spicy for a kid’s taste nevertheless our daughters enjoyed them. We will definitely come back when we are in town.

Loved this restaurant! Our server, Cheryl, was amazing and very welcoming! We came to this restaurant just for a little something to eat, we got Potato Skins, Beef Mantu Dumplings, and Shurwa E Ghusht. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. I just wish that the Potato Skins weren’t just the skins and had a little bit of the potato on them. Enjoyed the food and will come again when in the area!

The first time I went to The Mantu I was blown away by the food, ambiance and friendliness of the staff as well as Chef Noori. I have since been back many times and each time I’ve been very impressed with the kabobs- chicken and lamb. The potato skins appetizer is delicious and we’ve gotten it each time we’ve gone. The Mantu rivals the Afghan restaurants I’ve been to in DC and Northern Virginia. Chef Noori goes the extra mile in making you feel welcome. If you’re looking for a special night out, by all means go to The Mantu. You will be impressed.

Had family dinner and it was absolutely amazing! We ordered a variety of dishes – appetizers, entrees, vegetarian to meat. Everyone loved their dish! The sizzling beef smells so good and tastes great. Chef knows we came here for birthday dinner and gave us two afghan desserts to take home. Extremely generous of him for the free desserts.

Delicious food and was excited to try Afghan cuisine for the first time, but the service is an absolute train wreck. Had to go up myself to the waiters 3 times to ask for water, the check etc. and it wasn’t even that busy. The whole time they were just talking amongst themselves and seemed bothered whenever I asked them for something. Waited almost 30 minutes to receive the bill after asking for it. Overall, service needs an attitude adjustment.

Amazing! We have never had Afghan food before, but every region around it! This was unique in its own special way. The food was fantastic, but the care and friendliness of the staff was above and beyond. It was more like visiting a family’s home in that sense. The food was INCREDIBLE. We had the garlic Naan, chicken chapli kebab and chicken Tikka kebab, however I’m convinced everything there is incredible and will be going back soon to sample more offerings!
