I was in search for good soul food, visiting from out of state and we saw this place had 4.7 rating so we headed over. The food was Delicious 8.5/10 , not made to order but this type of food can sit and marinate in the warmers! I got the oxtail plate & homemade mango peach juice (sn: sweet!) . The highlights were the oxtail & Mac! Casual yet elegant atmosphere and nice music to set the mood.

I wanted to give a one star but the food was ready when I got there. That’s huge for me..

I ordered the oxtail plater which came with a side of cabbage, sweet potatoes and macaroni & cheese. The food was awesome. The atmosphere was nice they played some nice music. I thought the portion size was good because I had leftovers.

Well I gave three stars because the food was really good not fresh out of the pan or the oven but buffet-style steel was pretty good. I deducted 1 star because I ordered two sides rice and black eye peas and a piece of cornbread. And a Fanta standard 16 oz drink that was in a plastic bottle you get out of the vending machine. That was $16 I thought that was small portions considering I spent $16 and when you sit down to eat there’s no waitress. Then I ask for an extra container to mix my rice and beans.. the man at the register said we don’t have any extra containers and behind him was over 100 containers minimal .if he’s the manager he is very cheap and come across as very agitated and very uncomfortable to talk to type person probably not the guy to be the face of the restaurant I would definitely hire somebody else if he’s the owner of this restaurant oh my goodness. Definitely not friendly at all. The rest of the employees seem intimidated by him but they were very social and kind to the customers. For this experience I took away another star so that’s why they got three. So three stars for good food two stars deduction for bad attitude manager that lied to me and said he didn’t have a container and for the portions being buffet-style not fresh and pre-measured portions kind of small for the money. Otherwise the food was very good so I would do delivery not dine in ..

The food was fantastic, and I’m excited they’re in a central location now so we don’t have to drive so far for a soul food fix!!! Yesss!

This place is ripping people off. They menus says one price and when you get ready to pay, they charge you $5.00 or more than the price on the menus. May sure you check the price on the menus and on your receipt. May sure they match up. I will not attend this place again, and I am going to try my best to get in touch with the owner and better business bureau.

Had a veggie plate, it was delicious! Perfectly seasoned, not too much but definitely some there. Cornbread isn’t sweet which is fine with me, I’m just used to sweet cornbread. Definitely recommend. They were very nice as well.

If you’re looking for yummy homestyle comfort food, this is the place. Teresa, our host, was the sweetest and welcomed us in with a smile. She let us know what was on the menu and gave her recommendations, as it was out first time there. We ordered the catfish nuggets, hot chicken wings, peach cobbler, and sweet potato pie. The nuggets and wings both came with 2 sides and a mini loaf of cornbread. I got collard greens and fried okra. My boyfriend got Mac and cheese and fried okra. Despite being fried nothing was oily/greasy. The catfish nuggets were perfect, medium sized chunks of fish and the batter wasn’t too thick so it had a nice crust to fish ratio. It came with a smooth honey/hot mustard type of tarter sauce which paired nicely with the fried okra as well. The hot wings were delicious (Teresa let us know the wings would be about 20 min but we were fine with waiting). They weren’t overcooked and dry wings, they were crisp on the outside and had good flavor while being nice and tender on the inside. The hot wings were a wet rub, not a dry rub. The collard greens had a nice savory flavor. The Mac and cheese was alright. The peach cobbler and sweet potato pie were delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness. Here are some pictures, we had already dug in before I took them so just know that they give you more than what you see 🙂

Came in to pick up an Uber eats delivery and knew from the aroma I needed to come back and try it! So glad I did. Sister Teresa greets you with hug on your first visit, so sweet. Then you get to the food, the cooks are amazing! Service was great. They were out of the beef tips and the red velvet cake so I opted for fried pork chops and lemon pound cake. Comes with 2 sides and a drink. I got Mac and cheese and green beans. I was not disappointed!! Very very good, I will be back for the others!
