The brat and cheese curds we got here really hit the spot after a morning of walking around from shop to shop in the lakefront area. Located on a big lot in the center of activity in Grand Marais, The Lunch Box won’t let you down as a spot to gather, rest, people watch, and enjoy a quick lunch in the sun before heading to the shoreline or back to the road. Nothing fancy here, just solid food and friendly service. It’s a tiny hut—as the name might suggest—surrounded by picnic tables, signs, and a small crowd during the lunch hours so it’s bound to catch your eye as you drive through town. Tasty and memorable!

A great summertime location. Sloppy joe on a hotdog buns was very good plus we had the Carmel apples. Low key eat outside.
