We arrived in New Haven for my college reunion and made a point of going to Luke Brasserie for dinner on the recommendation of a good friend. Our experience was extraordinary! Everything we ate was fresh, hand crafted and beautifully prepared. Highlights of our dinner included a beet salad, a white asparagus appetizer, seared tuna, and the veal chop. Everything is designed for sharing… Perfect for a date! The candlelight, music, and the dark, chocolate covered almonds were just perfect. We would also give 5 stars to the waitstaff; they were very attentive! We’ll be back!

Excellent food and experience at the Luke! The empty plate was the asparagus that the chef brought out complimentary because he wanted to make sure we were full enough. We already were, but that may have been my favorite item. Each dish got better and better (even though I was under the impression they wouldn’t be able to top dish one). We will certainly be back.

I haven’t been at such a great place for quite a while. Chief Vincent is outstanding. Great place to have a date or anniversary. Not to mention the food is gorgeous. And the vibe, you need to feel it. Rush to capture it in your memory as it is. I’m a little bit upset that i am here only for a few days.

We stumbled upon The Luke by luck, and we’re so glad we did. The $25 Friday wine deal gave us a delicious Malbec. We received amazing service thanks to our beautiful server Iris, who walked us through the menu, which all sounded amazing. The multigrain bread with sheepsmilk ricotta was perfection…and the dessert, you have to go and taste. The only thing that I would’ve changed? Get those amazing waitresses out of those boring beige smocks they’re wearing. This place is too beautiful to have boring uniforms. Highly recommend!

What an excellent place, great for any special occasion. Came here for my anniversary with my partner and had the most amazing time! Do not miss the yellow fin tuna, divine!

Had a wonderful experience and delight as we made our way thru their tasting menu. The place has a good balance between fine dinning and a more laid back ambiance. Very friendly and attentive staff. For me it’s a nice new gem in the New Haven culinary scene.

Our server and bartender, Janette, was welcoming and so accommodating! The drinks were just delicious and Janette was a pleasure. she even adjusted our meal to fit dietary needs. The food will speak for itself and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The chef Shawn stopped by to chat and discuss the meal. I could not be happier with the service or meal. This should be a stop on your restaurant tour if you are close to New Haven!

Food was quite good but the service was *excellent*. Modern menu with a variety of different flavors. You get complimentary champagne, bread, and dessert so one three-course meal was more than enough for 2 people. Each dish came straight from the kitchen and the staff did an excellent job of clearing/resetting the table between courses. They were very attentive (refilling our drinks constantly), friendly, and gave us complimentary dishes.

Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Amazing touches with the free Prosecco upon arrival and the tasty chocolates with the check.

This was our first time in New Haven, we hadn’t done much research and we didn’t really know where to eat – we saw that Luke’s had good reviews and we decided to give it a shot. We weren’t expecting something as good – the space is amazing (grandiose with high ceilings, walnut bar and booths, well spaced out tables, very nice but not overwhelming music), the food was amazing, and the service exquisite. Andreas was very knowledgeable on the menu and adequate wine pairings. Also, we thought that the pricing was very reasonable given the high quality ingredients/meals and wines. We had an amazing time and we would highly recommend it.
