The food was very very good, and good service. It was wonderful to have a “flight” sampler free so we could taste the foods we were unfamiliar with. Excellent blackened catfish, not fishy tasting at all. Nice thinly breaded shrimp, and rich thick gumbo. We will return in the near future.

Stopped in to the Lost Cajun on our way through Salida. We’ve been to The Lost Cajun in other places before, so we knew what we were getting ourselves into.

I can not sing praises high enough to do The Lost Cajun justice. This unassuming little shop has the best authentic Cajun I’ve had outside the deep south. Everything is amazing. My favorite part had to be the sampler they brought out. It had six menu favorites and made the decision on what to eat even harder. The lobster bisque is one of if not the best I have ever had. The jambalaya and gumbo are perfection. I was so torn until I was told the lunch special, half a po-boy and a cup of soup. If I lived in Salida I would be here a few times a week.

Really good food but if you want to have the jambalaya you need to be there for the lunch because it’s so good they sell out of it shortly after the lunch rush but friendly service and positive atmosphere definitely will be back again next time in town!!!

Amazing Cajun food in the middle of Colorado? Decor akin to fast food joint, but the food is gourmet!
