Today I decided change things up and tried the Longhorn Cafe on Hausman Rd instead of the usual Blanco Rd location. I must say that I was quite impressed and will probably make the Hausman location my new favorite. The chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked to my liking. The meat was very tasty & tender, and even passed the cut with a fork test. Mashed potatoes were equally good and made from scratch. The restaurant itself was super clean and relaxing. Highly recommended!

We weren’t sure what to expect. My friend heard about this place from someone else. The mushrooms were fantastic. Good spicing. Light batter. Warning- super hot. Super good. My friend said they needed salt but my friend would salt a salt lick. Thick gravy to bathe them in was also good. My friend said their burger was great. They didnt say anything about their fries. I had the stuffed chop steak with mashed potatoes and onion rings. That ” beef patty” was stuffed with cheese and jalapeños, yum. Buried in grilled onions added another layer if flavor. Ill be back for that alone. Mashed potatoes tasted like homemade, also drizzled with gravy. Onion rings were also lightly battered and delish. Longhorn Cafe- one. Hunger – zero!

We loved Longhorn Steak House in Leon Springs so when you first opened this location we decided to visit. . On our first visit there were quite a few employees but they were all talking and on their phones. There was not a single table that was clean so we had to ask that they clean one for us. After a number of months we decided to try the restaurant again. This time there were 2 employees on break or on a tablet and we had to wait 10 minutes in line to order. Our order came out over 35 minutes later. The people that ordered right before us were almost finishing their meal when ours arrived. I had The Horn. At other locations I have eaten this many times. What I got was 2 commercial meat Patties with some peppers sliced inside. The onions were not fully cooked and the Patties were almost burnt. When we got our cups for drinks my first one was dirty. I was told they are all like that so I wiped the prior persons lipstick off the rim and cleaned it myself. This could be a great restaurant, but it will definitely be a long time till we come back.

I have visited Longhorn Café a couple times now, following recommendations from friends. Chicken sandwich is the best I have EVER tasted. I don’t think I have ever had a chicken sandwich that just melted in my mouth. Fries are crispy and fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. Onion rings are like crack! It is something about that batter. Chicken tenders were so tender my little girl ate them all up with zero complaints and the mac n cheese… addictive! Second visit I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The portion was perfect and food fresh, chicken was perfectly grilled. They have quite a variety of dressings to offer to. Service was second to none, although I may criticize the eagerness to clear the table while still eating. Staff member who took my order was super friendly, and patient! I recommend visiting and checking out the food.

The response to my last review inspires me to advise: call in your order before visiting, or use delivery service apps. Peak time is lunchtime and the line is long and at the entrance. Only one cashier who also answers their phone, and minimal staff. But the grill cooks work furiously to get you your food. It is good food. But, unless you start lunch at 11am, you will have a long wait if you try to get there at noon or after. Thank you.

Lived nearby and decided to take a quick walk to have some lunch. The atmosphere of the place was great. They had nice, rustic decor and a cool window to look into the kitchen while everyone’s food was getting made. That being said, it was also one of those places where the chefs call out your name when your food is ready.

Service was poor. The workers are all teenagers on their cell phones. The tables were not cleaned. They were sticky. I would have rather had a fast food burger because they lacked flavor. 3 burger combos for 48 dollar. It wasn’t worth the price of the meal. I will not be returning. Going to be moving forward to find the best burger in San Antonio. If anybody has any suggestions let me know…

Literally the best burger I’ve ever had. I’ve had some burgers before. This is it! This is honestly one of the best burger places you can hit up. Not too overpriced either. It was juicy and a bit crispy. No chewy gristle or fat, just an easy to chew salty dream. Bun was toasted but still soft and the vegetables were crisp and delicious.
