Great atmosphere, attentive and polite wait staff, and really good food. The meal started with tasty warm rolls and honey butter. That was too yummy to resist. We loved the Brussel sprouts (which I normally hate), and we shared a plate of buffalo medallions. I thought the potatoes needed some salt, but that’s just my preference. The waitress recommended a rum based cocktail called “union” (something or another), and it was very tasty. The atmosphere alone was worth it.

Ate there on Friday 8/18/23. My wife had the grilled chicken pasta, I had the buffalo French dip. Superb food, good service, overall a good experience. We’re usually disappointed when dining out, so such a positive experience was refreshing.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing. The mounts of various animals was very pleasing and knowing that they were donated really gave us an idea of the area. At first they brought us waters and bread with amazing honey butter, setting the mood for the night. The fries and buttered noodles were as good as they could have been. However me and a family member order two burgers to be medium well. Upon arrival the food we were able to stomach one half of our Buffalo and 307 burger. Although whoever is in the kitchen tonight could definitely do with classes on meat preparation as the second half of each burger was rare at best. While it may be an amazing atmosphere I wish the food was able to reflect such. We will not be returning at a near date. The biggest plus was the street side stores were able to make up for portion of uncooked, harsh cooked meals.

Tried to eat here a few weeks ago and was told it was reservation only. So I called a week in advance to our last visit to dubois to get a reservation, and no one answered. We also had a large party, so we wanted to make sure that could accommodate all 8 of us. Called the two days and a day before. No one answered. Checked their fb since they don’t have a website and they were open. Called the day of from the moment they opened and intermittently for 2.5 hours. No one answered, but we were hung up on, and the phone was taken off the line, etc. Walked in and were told it’s reservation only, and the only way to set a reservation is to call… wouldn’t even let us set one for the next weekend while we were there. We were told we had to call. Couldn’t tell you how the food is. But it must be good if it’s this hard to try it.

Wife & I had supper before attending the Friday night rodeo. Excellent sirloin steak, cooked perfectly. Great service and reasonable cost. Nice sized portions. Come early & be prepared to wait, but it’s worth it.

We had such a great dinner last night across the street at the Cowboy Cafe. We were tempted to go back, but the locals all said, the Lone Buffalo Steakhouse. So we joined the group in front of the restaurant waiting for the 5:00 opening. We were welcomed in a friendly manner, and seated in the authentic western dinning room. The entire restaurant filled up within 45 minutes on a Tuesday night with people who seemed happy to be here. A local shop owner told us to order the grilled Brussels sprouts with bacon and goat cheese. We knew we would split the entree, so we also ordered fried cheese curds with a cinnamon chipotle sauce. Oooh! Fabulous. The drinks were not disappointing. The Wyoming whiskey was hardy and not too sweet, and the Old Fashion was perfect, served with an orange slice and black cherries. The rolls were served with a great honey butter, and the honey is local from the honey shop across the street. We split the 10oz New York Strip, medium rare. It had a warm red center, great for me but too rare for my husband. They happily took it back and retuned it hot and ever so slightly adjusted to a perfect medium rare. Asparagus spears, tender crisp. Perfect. They were out of their in-house made bread pudding, so we tried the cheesecake. Very mediocre.
