We took our 14 year old grandson who has autism and is very easily overstimulated. The folks there were so good and offered to seat us outside which worked great for him!! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. My wife and I had the hamburger steak with cheese and gravy and it was amazing! We had salads and roasted veggy medley and they delicious too! Our grandson had the chicken tenders, housemade chips and fries.

We enjoyed Pre Mother’s Day luncheon at the Local Uptown. The food and the service was great and the atmosphere on the patio was very relaxing. Great hidden gem in Anderson! Will definitely return! Kudos to all the waitresses and the chef for making this a memorable experience!!

Cosey little place with an intimate atmosphere. Great place to meet and have a conversation without blaring music or TV. Just go in and have a seat. Booths, tables or bar stools available for quick lunch or to hang out and watch a game. Parking is a little limited out front but plenty in the area.

I absolutely love the uptown lounge!! Ive been going here for quite a while, and have always had great experiences with the business in its entirety! Love the bartenders, the atmosphere and the other customers are always so nice and friendly. These days it seems more and more difficult to find a place with as many positives as Uptown. Plus, great food and a drink or 2 to unwind is never a bad thing! Hands down my favorite place for my very small social life…lol. I highly recommend this restaurant and bar for all people looking to be comfortable and have fun too!
