Carolina pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries at The Local Spot/TJ’s BBQ was amazzzing…the pulled pork sandwich is HUGE and has Cole slaw in it! The sweet potato fries are some of the best … got a side of cornbread too which is delicious.

Very nice place. The owner is very personable and the staff is friendly. Good food, cold beer, and a family friendly environment will bring me back again and again.

This place was rad. My son and I randomly popped in while escaping a Blacksmith Festival (typical Fitchburg doings) and it was a great surprise. Staff was nicer than pie, and the wings, chili, and fish & chips were all great. We will definitely come back.

Love the decor but was disappointed the bar didn’t open until 3:00 because we were there for lunch but I do understand because we were the only people there at that time. The ribs were very good and I will go again for dinner but not for lunch even though they do offer a $10 lunch menu.

Food is great. Awesome atmosphere. Needs better wait staff. Been here twice and got the same slow forgetful waitress. But the cook makes up for it.

Disgusting. If you’re a fan of BBQ don’t waste your time with this half hearted attempt at smoked carnage. Supposedly the smoker is run by a “pit master” maybe they mean some one who worked in the pit at the local Jiffy-lube. That would explain the oily rag flavor of the ribs. Seriously, the general mangler didn’t even know if they smoked with hickory or apple wood! My guess would be rotten shipping crates and the aforementioned rags. The waitress was nice enough although she was dressed like she was out for a jog. Believe me she wasn’t going anywhere fast! They responded to our complaints about the tough, under-cooked overly fatty meat by being very defensive and begrudgingly comping our dinner. A huge step up in service and food quality is needed if this place is going to survive.
