This is, what I would consider, a hole in the wall. There is live music and a intimate atmosphere here. The bar staff was super friendly and quick with service.

The Local is by far one of the best Pubs in the Heath and Newark area Mitch and staff are friendly and welcoming.the beer is cold and plentiful…be sure to mention me … probably won’t do you any good but hey you tried….but be sure to stop by if you are in the neighborhood.

The burger I had was honestly one of the best I’ve gotten outside my own kitchen in a long time. Super creative ingredients for their various burgers and cooked perfectly, plus it’s reasonably priced. The stage is cool with fun entertainment. Karaoke Wednesday, trivia Thursday, live bands at least some Fridays is what I know of. May be more. Definitely worth a visit!

My wife and I were absolutely blown away. Kitchen open till 11, bar open till 2, we were just getting into town and so excited to find something open but not expecting “the best burger I’ve ever had” being said all night. The staff and the owner are my new best friends. Get the taco rolls, say Yes to queso with the house made potato chips, and do not eat prior to your visit – you’re welcome.
