First… Brooklyn is fantastic. Give her a raise.

I asked them to surprise me on what to drink, the guy asked me a few get-to-know-you questions and then made me a delicious drink based off that! Food is tasty too!

We had been wanting to check this coffee shop out for a while and finally had a chance to do so. It was a bit overwhelming at first with the large selection of drinks and trying to narrow down to what I wanted (went with the Mocha) and was very impressed. It was well made and delicious! We also tried a homemade muffin which was great and of course, went well with the coffee. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

It’s a nice little coffee shop with a ton of drink options and some food too. Staff was pleasant and helpful. If you work from home or from your laptop, there’s some space near the back where you can set up while you enjoy your coffee. My drink was a little on the sweet side but I’d guess that’s the way most people prefer it.

It’s nice to have a dedicated coffee shop in the downtown area. The Local Grind has such a unique wall menu which highlights the great selection of hot and cold beverages. Many days they have baked goods as well. Parking is limited and difficult. It’s an easy shop to miss being on a busy street but once discovered you will return. They also have a punch card for a free drink after 10 purchases.

If you order any food from here, make sure you get the things that say eggs your style because otherwise, everything is straight out of a container or frozen. My sister’s sandwich had low grade cheese on it that wasn’t listed on the menu, it was supposed to be a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and the description didn’t say anything about cheese. The biscuits and gravy was tasteless. We got a smoothie to go and when I say it was literally liquid and tasted like they blasted this cup with concentrated mango flavoring I am not exaggerating. To top it off, when we entered we were not greeted by the staff even though we went right up to the counter. The girl was wearing sweatpants and slippers with her hair in a loose ponytail. Thankfully she wasn’t cooking the food but I didn’t find her demeanor to be that of someone in food service.

We had a very large group (12) stop in and to get coffee and the workers were really nice and even gave us a free drink for getting so many orders. Highly recommend!

Great coffee shop! If you can’t find what you like on their wall, ask for a custom-made drink card.
