Fabulous food, friendly atmosphere, great staff! The woman at the front desk of the Harbor Light Inn recommended The Landing (easy walking distance), saying the food is excellent; and boy, was she right! I ordered “Healthy Swordfish” (comes with spectacular buttery cream sauce, deeply marinated mushrooms and sauteed spinach) and Cauliflower Steak with Chimichurri Sauce. Really recommend! On a Wednesday night in August, the place felt packed, but there was no wait. Dogs are allowed if seated outside. Everyone around me talked to me. Loved it!

We had lived in Marblehead 39 years ago and frequented The Landing, which at the time was known for fried seafood, burgers and fries. To our surprise, it now offers an upscale eclectic menu. We had tuna tartare, and yucca fritters as starters, which were both creative and well-presented…. and truly delicious!! The mains were also creative and well presented and both the haddock and swordfish were well cooked and fresh… however the swordfish was a little on the salty side. Their homemade tiramisu was one of the best we’ve had…. Not too much cake, just delicious creamy filling. Why only four stars…. The service while very friendly and pleasant…. was rushed. We were still in the middle of our appetizers when the bus person asked if they could take the plates… then without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee… the check was plopped on our table and we were confused when they told us, “there’s no rush.”

We had a first rate time. We were seated outside in spectacular weather with a gorgeous view of the harbor. I had oysters on the half shell, a cold IPA, and the crab cake plate. The crab cake was loaded with crab and the arugula salad was perfectly dressed. Faith, our server was very attentive.

The Inn we were at offered a package that included a credit to The Landing. We decided to stop in for the first half of the super bowl and we are so glad that we did. It was quite clear from the moment we stepped in that every person there cared very much about their guests experience. The atmosphere very welcoming. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were great too. Everything was top shelf and fresh. You know when you walk into a place and just feel like you’re with good people who care about what they’re doing and work together to give you the best experience? That’s this place. Kudos to our server, Ty. Awesome job. 🙂 One of the owners, Robert. *salute* And our added entertainment, Rory! Everyone there was great. We had a wonderful time and we will make it a point to come back.

My husband and I were exploring New England for our honeymoon. Leaving the town of Salem our tour guide suggested going to Marblehead a town 10 minutes away. We googled a restaurant and picked The Landing Restaurant and we are so happy we did. The bartender Deana took care of us. She was so pleasant, knowledgeable and fun, she even took some pictures of us at dinner. This was the best meal we had while on our vacation. I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had the crispy haddock. I made sure to save room for dessert and we had the tiramisu and the cheese cake ice cream which is a specialty dessert crafted by Chef Alex. His menu is spectacular and we had the pleasure of meeting him at the end of our meal. We loved this place so much the delicious food and the best hospitality. We hope to make it back some day.

I had an incredible experience at The Landing during magic hour. The outdoor setting provided a beautiful view of the boats. The margaritas were amazing, and the haddock was bursting with flavor. Our server, (I believe her name started with a D ), added to the fantastic dining experience.

Wow! We came here hoping to a quintessential coastal seafood experience and it did not disappoint! Some of the freshest, most flavorful food we’ve ever had. The ambiance was great. Amazing service! Loved the local, family owned vibe, but cannot say enough about how delicious the food was. The clam chowder, mussels, fish and chips were just fabulous!
