It seems like I was driving forever and ever and ever to find this place, but I am getting used to Montana and the way everything is so spread out. I wasn’t going to go because I thought the name of this place was so weird. I still think it’s weird. But the decor is straight up Montana west. I loved the ceiling fixtures, The Log Cabin walls, the whole atmosphere was pretty cool. I asked about the marks on the walls, the waitress told me that they used to have these parties where ranchers would come in and use branding irons to burn their brand on the logs . She said it would get a little Rowdy so they don’t have those anymore. In my estimation it is extraordinarily expensive. The cheapest entree was a petite sirloin which cost $39. It came with a twice baked potato, which was very interesting and very good. It came with a vegetable appetizer, little chunks of vegetables and a very good dip, in a small loaf of hot bread which was good too.. Also included in the dinner was your choice of another appetizer, I chose the shrimp cocktail which again was very good. The sirloin was all right, I can’t say it was delicious or melts in your mouth. Ice cream is supposed to be included in the dinner, but I was told they ran out of ice cream, and so they offered me a small tiramisu, but I had to buy it. I didn’t think that was cool. It was good, but , I can’t say it was fantastic. The service was good. The bar area is very interesting with some pretty impressive mounted heads. It’s in an incredibly out of the way place but that won’t bother Montana’s because like I said, everybody’s used to driving a distance to get everywhere. It was clean, with a tad of old outdated feel. I’d like to go back, but I’m not spending $39 lol. I really wish they would change the name to something more western, like Moose Lodge or something. It’s just not a magical experience, Overall though, I liked the experience.

Went with three kids under 5 and a large group and had just a wonderful time. Service and atmosphere were wonderful and food was AMAZING. Steak was cooked to perfection, lobster tail was huge, and great value for our money. Thank you again for a great experience

The steaks are truly fantastic. The servers are professional and attentive. They are in the expensive side, so be warned on the pocket book, but for a good meal and dining experience it’s well worth it. The dining area is simply tables in an open space, so the ambiance is simply western, not romantic. A must eat at place.

I write this while I am sitting at a table in the land of magic, and it is sadly a terrible experience. I’ve came here many many times before as I am from this area of Montana and it used to be one of the best places around. As of recent the service has been poor and the wait times have been ridiculously long. I ordered over an hour ago and still haven’t gotten an appetizer. The food used to be good and worth the price but now the sub par steaks that aren’t cooked as requested are hardly even worth the wait. The two servers that are spread thin are currently arguing loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. Sad to say but this place is a shell of what it used to be. Don’t waste your time here.

Came with a large group which included a lot of children. The staff was phenomenal!! Very accommodating, even helped determine if any changes were needed to accommodate a gluten free diet (everything is GF except the bread, of course). The food was amazing! Excellent quality and quantity, great price.

Very tasty, not over spiced was just right . The lobster was done perfect n butter was a good temp too . I had some very delicious daiquiri’s strawberry. Overall 10 stars. Btw our server was Awesome n very helpful, did everything we asked n brought extras. I highly recommend this place

We’ve been coming about 6-7 months and have never had anything but great food and service. The red head server is our favorite. She’s professional but also hilarious. We get lucky to have her on occasions Christmas time was so festive

The atmosphere was nice; just a casual steakhouse. However, the steak I ordered with the scampi was barely 4 ozs and over cooked (medium rare was more medium and my husband rack of ribs were cooked but not sauced or soaked enough with what we were told. The wine was good and the staff was great! Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing but the meal was a bit overpriced.

Had dinner at Land of Magic 3 nights ago. Wife had salmon and said it was the best she ever had. I had filet and it was as good as it gets. Great place and price is fair

A long, long time, known and trusted cowboy super club/ steak house. We had the notable prime rib at $58 each for a 16 ounce garlic crusted, BUT, Very fatty, not very tender, but good flavor. I am a lover of prime rib and expect fat, but this was 50% fat. Very disappointed. The breaded shrimp looked delicious and wished I had gone that choice.
