I was in the area and Googled “fried chicken near me” and this came up, so I’ll preface this review by saying I was hankering for fried chicken.

Based on Google reviews we visited the Koop and ordered the fried chicken and the Dolsot Bimbimbap. The food came out quickly. The chicken was great, crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the outside. The Bibimbap came out in skillet of sorts. It took a little bit for the rice to get crispy in this. The fried egg that came with it was just right – as in properly runny.

If you’re looking for amazing authentic Korean food, this is the place for you. The Koop has blown up as the Korean Fried Chicken place but there is so much more to this restaurant. From Bulgogi to the bibimbap to the homemade kimchi, everything is packed with flavor. Most people know that good quality but does not come cheap and this is the case here. You should be prepared to spend between $20 and $30 per person but you will not go away hungry. The owners are incredibly friendly. They take pride in their work, and pay extra attention to every meal that comes out of their kitchen. If you’re looking for a great date night, a place to try something different, or just really good Asian food you must stop by the Koop.

I love this restaurant for the food and personalization of the decor related to travels and adventures of the owner. I love the side dishes too!

Tried this place while having a family gathering at Hershey park. The service was great but I guess due to inflation the size and portions of the dishes are smaller, but since we are in PA.. it is all good 🙂 we had Kaibi and pork belly, chicken fried rice and one vegetarian soon dobu. Seafood pancake appetizer. Giving a honest opinion, the service was get and food was decent. They were nice enough to let us in 30 mins before they closes.

Best Korean food restaurant in town. It’s my second time visiting here from NJ, and last two visits were all fully satisfied. I would recommend their Chicken and Tteokbokki which I thought were pretty good. The owner also has a really cool section in the restaurant where he kept his hiking and climbing tool collections that he actually uses up to this day. It was fun to look at. Overall, great food and the owner is super friendly and nice! I will definitely come back again.

Delicious, authentic Korean food. Very nice staff and nice decor. The floor was very sticky, but that didn’t affect my food eating skills truly good dishes here and I would certainly recommend it. Come by for a yummy meal, tastes right out of korea.

Very tasty chicken that they do in house. My in-laws are Korean, so it was nice to see this food out in the wild! The flavors are a little watered down for the American audience, but still worth getting. A touch expensive, but the quality you get is totally worth it!
