We had a great dinner here tonight. The owner is very nice and the servers are extremely friendly and do a fabulous job. We had delicious food and stellar service. They were very accommodating with my allergies. We definitely recommend this restaurant. It was well worth the hour drive.

My husband and I ate here a few months ago. This was the first time we’d eaten here under the new ownership. They have opened up the restaurant tables and it doesn’t seem as cramped and dark as it used to. The bread and specialty butters were excellent. I’m a little picky and I don’t like mushrooms so I was fairly limited as to what I could order from the menu. The pasta I had was okay, my husband thought his was mediocre at best. The service was slow and our server came out in jeans and shirt that were dirty from cooking in them. As pricey as this restaurant is, I thought that was a little out of place. I was hoping we’d really love it as we like to support local businesses, it was just okay in my opinion.

Went to dinner 4-8-23. Very disappointed. The best part was the young lady who sat us.( no name tags) The bowls of pasta are very small for $20. They bring you bread which was good but, they bring you something that is not butter. The mushroom meal was salty. The owners were not very personable (at least towards us) the husband kept talking to one table..Maybe it’s us, my parents came from Italy but the food/portions/prices were definitely not worth it. Sad to say we will not be returning.

I hardly ever write a review. But, I suddenly feel compelled to do so after seeing the owners response to dissatisfied customers. I can sympathize with with the owners because I know how difficult it is to please the masses. However, this is a community of people who want to support their local businesses and find a great eatery at arms length. And it really doesn’t seem the owners based on their responses want to learn anything from the feedback being given to them. I’d like to share my own experience at Aiellos under new ownership and I will only state the facts. We were excited to return once the construction was complete as we were dedicated customers to Aiellos. We weren’t aware of the new ownership until we were there but decided to give it a chance. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess. Our server (which I assume was the new owner) was dressed in her street clothes. We asked about the previous owners and the response, let’s just say wasn’t very nice. We received a basket of 3 small slices of bread (there was 2 of us) and two different butters that were tasty and well described. After we finished our pasta dishes that in our opinion were good but not great. We left questioning If we would ever return. We did not feel very welcomed. The owner wasn’t very interested in us as customers, but focused on how great their ingredients are and how popular some menu items are amongst other customers. She also disclosed the the pizzareia will be their new sandwich shop because their is no market for pizza by the slice. Being a New Yorker, I was shocked by this. I can’t tell you how many times I ordered pizza by the slice next door. We were disheartened because we love to support our local businesses and this restaurant is only blocks away from our home. And it’s the only local Italian restaurant in this area. I will say that the original owners always welcomed us and the service in our opinion was warm and inviting. The food was great! And we were never concerned with pricing. Because, what matters is the experience. The former owners were consistent in the experience they gave their customers. With that being said I hope that your restaurant is a success. But don’t disengage your community. Take the feed back an be better, do better. And maybe one day we’ll return.

10/10. We’ve lived in the valley 20 years and we have FINALLY found Italian food that is actually good. We had the tortellini and carbonara which were cooked perfectly and seasoned great. The calamari and artichoke apps were next level. Tiramisu was tremendous as well. The whole ambiance, service and food were exactly what we were looking for. This is what east coast Italian food should be. We’ll be back for years to come.

It wasn’t real busy when we walked in around 6pm. Though it did get busier. We were going to order pizza as an appetizer, but was informed by our server you can only get pizza on the pizza side. That you can get everything on the other side, that they don’t serve pizza in the formal restaurant side.

This was the best meal out that I’ve had in a long time. I was in the area for work, and stumbled upon this little gem. From start to finish, it was fabulous. Starting with the bread and specialty butters, to the wine pairings, to the entree, and on to dessert… Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It’s pricey, but I’m the foodie type that doesn’t mind spending good money on quality food, and this was worth every penny. I had the duck, which was elegantly simple – cooked and seasoned to perfection. If I’m ever in the area again, this will be top of my list.
