Food was terrific. I had a cheese steak sandwich that had plenty of steak with gooey cheese. This is a small place that isn’t fancy or hopping when we were there, but they serve good food and have good service at a reasonable price.

My husband and I went to The Italian Job for dinner while on vacation. We were greeted right away. There was only one other table with 2 customers at that time. A server came and took our drink order, and then our dinner choices. Soon after, our dinner arrived, with exactly two pieces of bread. I had ordered the chicken and shrimp rigatoni. I’ve never seen the tails left on shrimp in a dish of that type, but it was good. The chicken was tough, hard to chew though. I really enjoyed the sauce, so I wanted a spoon to scoop it up, and we both wanted more bread, which was really good. Neither of us had seen any servers in a while. I kept turning around and looking towards the counter but saw no one for almost 10 minutes. The people at the other table had left, and a different group came in. Finally, I got up and went to the counter. A lady showed up and asked what I needed. I asked for a spoon and more bread, because both of us liked it. I heard her say something to the kitchen about bread. I sat back down and resumed my dinner. After several more minutes a lady got up from the second group and walked by. I had seen her sit there a while back. I thought maybe she worked in the kitchen and was on a break. I was shocked to realize it was our server. She had been facing in my direction the whole time she was sitting at that table. She had to see me looking for a server, and going to the counter for service. Unbelievable. She was the only server we saw. We finished our dinner soon after we realized we were not going to get any more bread, and that no one was coming to see if we needed any more drinks, any dessert, anything at all. When we checked out I told them to thank the kitchen for the bread we never received. I also mentioned that the chicken was tough, hard to eat. No one said anything, no apologies. I also said I was going to order dessert. Again, nothing was said. We haven’t had service that poor in a long time. The food is probably okay for delivery, but I will never go back to this restaurant.

We ordered 2 Italian subs . We were in a hurry heading home to Hershey Pa so this was a fast stop . I have never been to a Italian restaurant that could screw up a sub in my life . 20 bucks for heated bread and lettuce. We even asked if we could order extra meat but were told not necessary, well they forgot to put the sweet peppers on . They heated a cold sub , And they tasted terrible, I had to pull over 45 minutes later because my wife vomited and got extremely sick , my stomach was not feeling to good either but it passed a few hrs later . I do not recommend this place

Cozy little Italian restaurant. We were able to order a Veggie sandwich and 2 special order veggie calzone. When the order came, the calzones had meat, but they profusely apologized and made us new ones. We also were given a liter of soda as an apology. Great food and service!!

drove in from arkansas and stayed in new market and the place was hands down best philly pizza ive ever had and im a 15 year chef. the fried clams were cooked so perfectly there was zero excess grease and the dough was cooked to perfection!!!! ill order from here every time i i come to virginia!!
