Pretty but that’s it. The garlic shrimp itself was not too bad but the mac salad it came with was so weird (funky even?). Pineapple fried rice looks so pretty but it was hard to eat – tasted like it was soaked in soysauce overnight. Service is great though. Bit overpriced, paid ~$70 not including tip on these 2 items.

Stopped in after a stroll on Coronado Island. Food was good sauces for the egg rolls were full of flavor, wings were good, but the star of the show was the tuna w sweet sauce chef made. Nachos’ order was amazing and a large portion. Bloody Mary was decent, but the spam masubi on top was ridiculous. Would order again and worth another trip.

The islander has a fun atmosphere. The food was hit and miss, but good overall. We really enjoyed the apps – the volcano fries, poke tacos, pupu platter and nachos. The chicken and shrimp tacos were bland, I wouldn’t recommend those. The other entrees – burger and pork dish were good.

Let’s just say I can not wait to visit San Diego again to come here. Their “whole damn pineapple’ drink, OMG AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!! Great food too. Customer service was awesome as well.

I was incredibly unimpressed with the salads we got both of them were over 12$ and looked like a normal house salad. The fries and ketchup were also horrible, but the 27$ burger was very good.

This place is delicious! I was headed up to The Henry and we ended up parking in front and I realized it was a new place! Wow am I glad we stopped in. This place is so cute and decorated with an adorable tiki vibe. The drinks are phenomenal. They have a great assortment of tiki drinks and their group drinks are very reasonably priced. The Pupu platter is delicious! I love the fall off the bone ribs and the black bean hummus is so refreshing and a good contrast to the fatty meat and the egg rolls. The chicken satay is perfectly cooked and has great flavor. Our server was fantastic and she warned us about our tacos possibly being too spicy so we ordered the chili oil on the side. She surprised us by splitting our plates! The chili oil is PERFECT for me but i get that it could be too hot for someone else. Will for sure be back! A pleasant welcome to Coronado.

Delicious food and drinks in a Tiki bar setting. Especially love the Volcano fries and huge tacos. Drinks made without skimping on alcohol. Atly was especially attentive and informative server.

The volcano fries were really good. Although pretty, the pineapple fried rice wasn’t as good and the tacos were lacking as compared to other well-known places like Taco Stand

The atmosphere was great. The chairs were comfortable; the music fit the vibe, but I have to give it 1 star because the friends I met up with there and I all got sick afterwards.
