Pros: Good service, Neat ambience, Fairly crowded with families, Food taste was like ‘Meets Expectation’. I would not say any dish was below average. They serve both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Indian foods. Surprisingly they had a small set of Dosa options from South Indian as well.

Great flavor, the main dish needs a little more than the 4-5 small pieces of mutton especially for an all rice dish that is 13 dollars. I would eat here again.

Wife and I went here for lunch today. We were impressed with the variety of items on the buffet. I sampled and enjoyed them all. The flavors were complex and mostly savory with very little sweetness which is what I like and expect from an Indian buffet. All the dishes were cooked well. We will return.

I went for their lunch buffet to try a variety of their dishes. It was quiet, nice atmosphere. I really appreciated that each dish was labeled “veg” or “non-veg” as I am a vegetarian. The dishes were rich and flavorlful and the person working was helpful when we had questions about some sauces. I didn’t think the food was 100, but that is probably because it was buffet style. Would definitely go back and order from menu.

We tried it since we like Indian a lot and never pass on a chance to try another place. It was extremely disappointing, both in selection and quality of food. There were hardly any vegetable dishes on the buffet- one with chickpeas and one with paneer, no other ingredients in those. All the dishes on the buffet were extremely watery and with too little spice. It was not spicy, which might be ok for some people, but to the point of no taste. I doubt we try it again, there is so many great places in Des Moines area for Indian food.

Food was good. The chilly shrimp (their spelling) was amazing, the bangan bharta good. We asked for spicy on the vindaloo, but it wasn’t that hot. The naan was kind of tough chewy. Samosas were delicious. They took 15-20 minutes longer than the 20-25 minutes they said the order would take (we had take out). Would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in central Iowa. I’ve been going here since just a few weeks after they opened and have never had a bad experience. I try to go at least twice a month. I’ve had a huge variety of their menu and have yet to encounter an item I don’t like. All the classics (chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, chicken curry, etc.) are fantastic. The navratan korma is one of my favorites. I tried the kadai chicken on my last visit — heavenly. And their chai tea is awesome!

The food was killer! The biriyani was the best I’ve ever had. I was pleasantly surprised, especially with them being open for only 3 weeks. To top off my experience, I was offered a free beer because it was the chef’s birthday. I highly reccommend this place to anybody who enjoys even the most simple of foods.

The quality of the food was extraordinary. I had the goat biryani which was delicious. But, the quantity was very poor. There was only few slices of meat and nearly not enough rice. If you go to persis or any other Indian restaurant, you get twice the quantity for the same price. I was still not full after my meal, a platter of Biryani for $12.99.
