Very suave & classy vintage style tavern. Separate whiskey menu, large portions, delicious food! Best burger I have had in years! Split a burger after we saw our neighbors portion! Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Food and service was amazing. They were able to seat us even though we didn’t have reservations, but we had to sit at the teeny tiny tables that are perfect for drinks.

Wow! Great food and service! Conner, our server was very attentive. The husband and wife that are the chefs in the kitchen made flavorful food. The beers were great as well! Absolutely will be back again!

We came to The Huntsman to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted it to be a special experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. We made reservations a week in advance to ensure we wouldn’t have to wait a long time for service as it was a Saturday. When we arrived there were many many servers walking around so we thought our service would be prompt. After being seated and given water right away & menus we thought maybe our booth was in a “dead zone”. Servers walked by us many times, not making eye contact and, after, approx 10-15 min I had to stop one of them to ask if we could have a waiter or waitress come to our table since nobody had. A nice girl finally showed up and proceeded to take our drink order. We could see the drinks had been poured as they were sitting on the bar for several minutes but it seemed there was confusion as to who the drinks belonged to. It was at least 10 more min before a different server came with our drinks. Just in case we never saw them again we ordered our food. The food itself was good. My Prime Rib Dip was excellent, even though they didn’t have tartar sauce available for my fries. I could accept that. I really wish the service could have been better….so many employees walking about but so little attention to the old couple just wanting to celebrate our special day. Not sure if we’ll be back…..

This place is definitely the nicest restaurant in town! The food is good and the staff was all friendly. It is definitely pricey and there is limited seating – maybe call ahead of time for a reservation. It can get very loud in there due to the high ceilings so be aware of that as well. But overall it’s 100% a place you should check out!

A true gem in downtown Ellensburg. These folks know how to make a mean steak. I ordered the tenderloin medium rare and it was magnificent. Their selection of alcohol and back bar display are incredibly impressive. I didn’t have any alcohol during my visit but my companions let me try their drinks and they were superb.

Not impressed at all. I thought this would be a fancy restaurant with menu price and restaurant vibe. The food had no flavor at all and the salmon was not cooked all the way. The staff were very nice. Unfortunately won’t be back.

I can’t understand how this wonderful place could have any negative reviews. This is a diamond in the ruff. Spent 3 nights in Seattle then drove through Ellensburg and stopped here by random chance for lunch before heading to Walla Walla for 3 days of wine tasting. By far better than any restaurant we had in Seattle or Walla Walla. Food was wonderful (Prawn salad, halibut, prime rib), young ladies that served us were great offering suggestions and such an impressive whiskey selection (Kentucky 201 Flight). If this restaurant were in a middle or bigger sized city you’d have to make reservations days in advance to get a seat. I’ve recommended this place to all my friends that drive through Ellensburg on their way to wine country. A must stop that you should take your time to enjoy at and not rush back to the freeway.
