I only gave the 2 stars because the other times we have been there the food was really good and service was excellent. We have bragged about the hub to many of our family members and since we had company visiting us for Christmas we took them out. We were so disappointed in the food and the service was awful. We all ordered chicken fried steak, some dinners some sandwiches. When we received it no one had brought silverware or anything else. We went to t h e counter to get straws and we asked for silverware twice. First time she brought 2 knives and just threw them down and really got upset that we asked again. The steak was soggy breading wouldn’t stay on, was greasy, okra wasn’t cooked long enough. We were very embarrassed and ashamed that we told everyone how good it was and since the service was so bad I was going to only leave a small tip but didn’t, in fact I gave her over 10 dollars and received no thank you, come back, how was everything it seems the 3 girls were playing and having fun and that is fine but please take care if the customers first. Tables were all dirty and they were not happy we were there. I am sorry to say we will never go there again or tell anyone how good it is because it wasn’t. My husband and I just saw the owner at homeland that morning telling her 4 of us were going there for dinner. No more. We were just so disappointed. And embarrassed.

Food was pretty good. Classic diner food. Service was really great at the beginning but after we got our food that was it. Wanted to get so.e ice cream but no one was coming back to check on us. Finally, less than 10 minutes from closing they check on us. I order a simple ice cream with hot fudge and they bring out a shake. No bill was ever brought out, I finally just walked up to the cashier. I almost gave them 3 stars except the service in the beginning was so good and the food was good. So 4 stars.

Great burgers in a 50’s themed setting. A great place to grab a bite when visiting the rt 66 musium. I had the grilled onion burger and my son had the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I’ll be back.

Great food, very clean, friendly staff. Only downside is the portion size. Way too little food for the price. Those little red baskets shouldn’t have 40% empty space when your food arrives. (Scroll through the pics, you’ll see what I mean)
