Very nice vibe and pleasant staff. Food was average. We tried the eggs/breakfast potatoes and French toast. Solid, but nothing made either of us want to come back for those dishes again. For a $35 breakfast (and that is before the tip, just the 2 meals and coffee, nothing else), I expected more. Wanted to try a local joint and glad we did, but probably would go to First Watch about a mile away next time.

1st , I walked in and it was so loud (loudest place I have ever ate or drank, lol) I almost turned around and left. It was cute inside with the bar area to the left. We ordered drinks, appetizers and brunch. The drinks were good, the humus plate was perfect, the eggs were good, the avocado toast was disappointing, as well as the French toast. The menu wording did not match the taste experience. They were a little pricey also, not to mention i was charged for something i did not get. They were sold out of corn bread. The waiter was great. The food was ok but next time, I would chose First Watch over House of Marigold no question.

This place is loud!!! be prepared for that! Don’t order a biscuit and gravy and think you’re going to get a biscuit smothered in gravy. It was just more like a dab of gravy. The sausage was good. Egg was good and potatoes were delicious! The ice tea is not regular tea. It is some Merigold tea, I did not like it. Overall it’s a decent restaurant but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Marigold is a relatively new restaurant in Louisville. Breakfast and lunch, no dinner. I give it five stars specifically for the ambience, care and attention of the owner, and the deviled eggs. Seriously, best deviled eggs ever. The appetizer and dessert items are fantastic. The entrees we had were good, but the starters and desserts really were the stars of the show. Great location for an upscale brunch with your spouse or to meet with friends. They did have a kids menu, but I don’t think it is particularly geared towards small children. Overall, great experience, and the owner was on hand the whole time making sure all went well and everyone had a great experience.

First time visiting The House of Marigold and it did not disappoint! The staff is super friendly and hospitable. We were promptly greeted as soon as we walked in the door and were well taken care of during our entire meal. The coffee and food was great! We ordered the French Toast, Biscuits & Gravy, and Pop-tarts. Everything tasted great! Will definitely be returning again in the future! 5 Stars!!!

Atmosphere is very cute, bright and refreshing. We were able to be seated immediately. We were able to decide on our meal before we even got greeted since service was delayed. Our food came, she topped of our coffee near the end and didn’t see her again until the check came. I wasn’t impressed with the service but our food was good.

Overall the place was good. I did feel like I was yelling when we were talking to each other but look and feel was nice. We had a wait time of about 45 min on a Sunday but it was worth the wait. We had mimosas while we waited for our table and they were ok. Food was good not a long wait after we ordered. I would definitely go back.

Breakfast, brunch or lunch you have to try House of Marigold. The decor is charming. After a short wait at the hostess stand, we were seated and promptly waited on. The acoustics do seem to make you talk louder, so it does get a little noisy. Vick, our waiter was excellent! The coffee and lavender tea were very good. The Avocado Egg Toast was delicious with grapefruit and all the condiment greens. The Royale Burger/Grits was very juicy and above par. Pop tarts were 86d but we’ll be back. Side door entrance, bar inside left and seating to the right. Ample parking.

Super good veggie scramble! Veggies and potatoes were cooked perfectly! You can tell the breakfast sausage was made in house as it was super flavorful and really yummy! I sat at the bar and told the server I wanted to order my food to-go because I felt underdressed, but she reassured me and made me feel welcomed so I went ahead and ordered a mimosa and dined in!

Love the ambiance, decor, cups used. Like the concept of the Deviled eggs, the toppings saved them. Food was just OK. Service was ok. I think having bussers instead of the waitress clean will help with service and cleanliness of tables & foor. Very loud as well
