The Honey Baked Ham Company in Pinellas Park is bringing customer service to the next level. When I arrived to pick up my preordered ham and turkey the line was out the door and wound it’s way down the sidewalk as far as I could see. It took me a few minutes to find a place to park and I took my place in line wondering if I would get back to our RV Resort before morning. To my surprise the line moved quickly and the staff kept the customers upbeat with offering samples and random quips to lighten the mood. When it was finally my turn to pick up my order the young woman waiting on me made sure I got a free Honey Baked Ham Classic Signature ham sandwich to eat on the hour long drive back to the RV camp. The sandwich hit the spot and this store earned my future customer loyalty!

I placed quite a large order for an office function then, because of a late season hurricane, rescheduled our event and our pickup date due to the storm. The day before our event, I called five or six times, trying to reconfirm our pickup but no one picked up the phone. Most companies now offer an option to receive a call back, but this is not the case with HBH. I arrived for my pick up and they had no record that my order pickup date had been rescheduled – only that it had been canceled. No worries, they had plenty of product but instead of having everything ready, I had to wait while they got everything together. As I was checking out, I mentioned that it was for an office event and asked if unused product could be returned if it was unopened and the manager said yes, no problem. I returned a couple hours later to return the unused portion and everyone scattered and the manager said, uh, just a moment and went into the back. Ten minutes later, he came back out and said, we can give you a gift card in the amount of the return but we can’t give you a refund. WHAT?! There was no mention of this when I specifically asked if items could be returned. I do not need a gift card – I needed a refund to my credit card. What would have been a very happy customer is now a VERY DISSATISFIED and ANGRY customer.

We received exceptional service from Jeff today even though we walked in just a few minutes ’til close. We’d planned a whole meal for the next day around their fabulous chocolate layer cake only to find out it wasn’t in stock. Jeff was kind enough to give us a discount on what we did buy to make the experience less frustrating. I felt like he valued our business and that’s a good feeling to have. Love the idea of The Honey Baked Ham for thanksgiving, this was my second year of picking up thanksgiving dinner and it’s just not there . All frozen sides when prepared as directed just taste like a tv dinner and very salty . The Turkey is so specificly flavored it ruins it and again very salty , ham just okay . It’s just not there . Like having a banquet tv dinner for 150 dollars for 2 people

Excellent ham! There is sweetness at the edges but the meat is good solid delicious HAM, not overdone with sugar or salt or any kind of processed vibe. And the service was first rate. I wanted to drop some off for my uncle in nearby assisted living. I had brought a tupperware container with me but didn’t think to bring a knife/fork or anything to portion some out for him. The sales guy took my ham to the back and cut out some neat slices to fit the container, which looked a whole LOT nicer than me trying to pull and tear slices apart with my hands!

If you’ve never had a sandwich here, I strongly recommend it! It’s a bit on the pricey side 7.49 for sandwich only, but worth every penny! Super good and fresh, served on a delicious flaky crossaint! I will try a ham here sometime because I hear that they are incredible!

We ordered for Thanksgiving. We chose to pick up early and have the order brought to our car. The man was very nice and helpful, he even wiped off my credit card before returning it and gave me 2 alcohol wipes to clean my hands. We got the ham, smoked turkey and 3 sides (mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, and cinnamon apples). Everything was delicious!
