Went for lunch after my MVA appointment. Had the Honey Baked Ham sandwich, which was tasty with a good balance of flavor between the ham and a hint of sweet honey sauce. The place was well renovated and larger than what I pictured it to be based on existing review photos.

Portion size was lacking. This is the first time I have been disappointed by The Honey Baked Ham. The sandwich was delicious as usual, as was the broccoli bacon salad. However, the croissant they served was the smallest I’ve ever seen! Also, the broccoli bacon salad came in a container that was at most about 4 adult bites. I took a picture of 1/2 of the sandwich along with the broccoli container and a standard size plastic fork to provide perspective. I’m not sure if all HB ham stores have changed or just this one, but I seriously felt like I paid around $10 for a kids meal (that didn’t come with a drink!). I will look around for another HB ham store and try that, I don’t think we will be coming to this one. The staff here were very friendly and again, the food tasted great, the portion size was just too small. Seriously, look at that half a sandwich next to a regular size plastic fork!

This a review for the ham that I got. It is extra salty this year from the previous years. Therefore, I could hardly eat the ham by itself. I needed to accompany with bread or rice.

I purchased a 1/2 bone in ham last year for Thanksgiving and since Covid was rampant, I understand they couldn’t show me the ham as they’ve done before. Well get home the ham barely has any glaze on it and it just wasn’t good. Fast forward to this year, purchased another ham and same thing. I spent over $100.00 both times only to be disappointed. I don’t think I will be getting another one next year since both times it was a waste of money.

Almost forgot that this location was still here in Gaithersburg Maryland….MY absolute FAVORITE dinner is Honey Baked Ham. Today I opted to try the ham salad sandwich….IT was fantastic! The multigrain bread made it! I wanted to buy ham salad to go for our super bowl party but we only have the two of us and you only sell it by the pound… wish you sold it by the half pound. Oh well. Will share with all my friends a reminder to visit here for GREAT FOOD other than just on holidays. EXCELLENT selection and top notch service!!!
