The Hitching Post Bar and Grill is an excellent venue for a variety of American comfort foods. We also have a full service bar. Great views of the surrounding Sonoran Desert and Bradshaw Mountains make this one of the best restaurant experiences in the area.

When you ask people around Wickenburg what they think of the hitching post, it’s usually just a “they’re okay.” And I’d have to agree. The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the clubhouse feel. I love to look out over the golf course. Wonderful. The wait staff was friendly. The live band was surprisingly very good. The order was out fast. The food however, could be improved upon. I got the chicken parmesan. With the fried chicken breast. It tasted okay. It came out just warm. The sauce tasted very good. The chicken breading was overcooked-almost burnt. Plainly visible to both the server and the chef. But tasted good as well. My wife got the shrimp with broccoli and rice. Unfortunately, the baked potatoes were not ready yet. And, she said it was just all right. Not great, but not bad. While we probably will return at some point. I will say that the food quality does not match the prices that they charge.

Spent a few days golfing over the forth of July weekend. Had a great time playing the course. Had lunch at the clubhouse after. Vodka Tonics were great! Food was wonderful. Wife had the Asian salad, lettuce was fresh (no browning), plenty of toppings, dressing was amazing. I had the Reuben, it was great. Sandwich came with fries (fries were fantastic). Everything else I saw at the table looked amazing as well. I noticed some at the table were having a Prickly Pear Lemonade, a must have! Server was great. Clubhouse/ restaurant has improved over the years. Great to see the management is continually improving things!

Beautiful outdoor dinner with great service and live entertainment.. he interacted well with us all, putting a comedic spin on creative music he played.. steak was perfectly cooked, the club was quality and the blt was fresh! We will be back next time we are in yarnell or Wickenburg!

We sat down for lunch, and maybe 12-14 people were inside for the same as well. We waited over an hour for our food way too long. My sandwich was just fine but friends sandwich the bread was burnt black. Believe on this day they were understaffed. One waitress at the drink bar only had 3 customers and should have been helping out in the dining area. Prior food and service have always been pretty good. Nice golf course views while dining.

Menu looked good, poutine was SALTY but otherwise pretty good. Server could have come by to check on us more often, and closed us out without bothering to ask if we wanted anything else. Love the artwork on the wall, but the carpet could use an update.

Had a nice dinner. Steak was great and cooked perfectly. Tiffany was our server. Such great hospitality and made certain everything was to our liking. She gathered the information from the kitchen to help my husband with his food allergy. Everyone we came across was very kind. Sounds like there is new kitchen staff. Overall really nice dinner after a round of golf.
