We started our stay in Tazewell with a nice Happy Goat salad and chili dogs. The cafe is a large space and was going to be running a salsa dance event/class that evening which looked like fun when we passed later in the evening. Nice local art gallery on the walls, and a curated selection of hiking equipment – packs, hammocks etc. The owner gave us excellent suggestions for other places to visit around the area.

Best tuna fish sandwich I ever had. The bread was all warm and toasty but the lettuce and tomato still cool and crisp. Very friendly staff. Oh and I eat their slaw dogs all the time- yum!

If you are not eating breakfast at The Happy Goat you are truly missing ! The gravy and biscuits are amazing , taste just like my grandmother’s or better ! Just like eating at home !! Everything homemade and delicious, highly recommended go check them out now every Saturday on main street!
