If you are a Missouri native and want to have a damn good gyro, look no further. Slowly cooked, wonderfully sliced meat. Spicy sauce so hot you feel it on the brim of your mouth. The baklava is a perfect ending to a great meal. Great food, great vibes, great portions.

My friend told me that we had The Halal Guys up in NKC and so we decided to check it out. The food was sooooo good! I definitely recommended adding the hummus to your gyro. Also try the baklava, it was perfect. I will be telling people about this place and I will come back in the near future. Oh also try the white sauce!

The food was AMAZING for what we wanted. We got a regular platter to share between me and my wife. It came with plenty of food. We also got some hummus and baklava cheesecake to try.

Food: Personally the food was decent, but I don’t see myself coming here again. The baklava was good but a tad too sweet for my liking. A lot of people were raving about how amazing this place is in New York, but I don’t see the hype around the food. I live 30 min out and it’s not worth the drive for me. If you live around this area definitely try it out.

I was so excited to see the halal guys in KC because I really enjoyed this when I tried it in NYC. We drove half an hour to give it a try. First impression – pricing of their platters were good especially for the amount of food they give you. These guys definitely don’t skimp out! The workers were very nice and they loaded up our platter pretty good! They also didn’t skimp out on the white sauce which is a must! We were able to move down the line pretty quickly so it was easy to get in and out of if you’re in a hurry. The food was just ok. Not as good as I remembered. We ordered the beef platter and the meat was kinda greasy and a little over seasoned. They were very generous with the white sauce but it was a little too much for me. Still happy that they have a location in KC if I ever get a hankering for it.

Our dining experience for lunch was just okay, the staff assembling the food seemed off their game. I had questions as I was building my platter, whether I could get both the sauces, extra onion, things like that, and I don’t know if there was a miscommunication, but they wouldn’t really answer the question. Other thing that irked me was that I asked for hummus in my platter, which was an additional $1 charge. The lady said she had closed the lid for my bowl and whether it’s fine to put it in a side container instead. I said sure, but then realized she charged me $5 for the hummus.

I love The Halal Guys! I have enjoyed The deliciousness in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, and Las Vegas. When the announcement came that one would open in my home town, I was ecstatic! The only thing I wondered about was if the same standards would be met. Everything at this location is 100% delicious and on target! This location is the friendliest one I’ve ever been to. Every single employee was pleasant, smiling, and very efficient. Everything The Halal Guys does, they do it extremely well! I’ve already been here twice in eight days. The meat and chicken is cooked to perfection. I tried a side of falafel today, and I loved it! All ingredients are fresh. The secret is the white sauce! Oh my is it delicious!!!! You can actually buy a 750 ml bag of it to take home (we did) and use it on things at home. You can also buy just a packet. My favorite thing to do is to get a regular platter (only $1 more than the small), load it up with white sauce, and mix it all together (see my picture). Now if you want spicy, go for their red sauce. Be warned as it’s 100,000-130,000 Scoville units! Just a few drops is plenty! It’s too spicy for me though. Friends who love spicy say it’s great! Make sure you download The app for offers and to earn points toward free food! Finally, the portions are large. If you get a regular platter you are getting a lot of food! Often, you will have plenty to take home and enjoy later. I cannot say enough great things about this location!! THANK YOU!!

I love middle Eastern food but this was very mid. Bland and overpriced for the quality. Also the wall art is confusing cuz they don’t have BBQ sauce like it seems to imply (see photo). The service was good and so was the baklava cheesecake.
