FYI this hotel is a casino-hotel. As you walk in through the main entrance, hotel section is on the left of reception and casino is on the right of reception. You walk through the casino section to go to the breakfast restaurant (the grill).

I’m impressed the breaded shrimp platter was very good, But I got a question? In there commercial they show the “free” after dinner 4 layer pie desert comes in a glass mason jar, But it actually comes in a small plastic cup, maybe it’s a appetizer desert ?????

This is a pretty decent place for being in a smallish casino. They have breakfast lunch and dinner and aren’t too expensive either. The service can be a little slow sometimes but not too bad. They have lunch specials and dinner specials that make a great price. Burgers and ribs are always a good bet here. I’d eat here, even if I wasn’t gambling or staying at the hotel.

This was my first time as a customer of The Grille and I can assure you desr gentle reader it will NOT be my last! The service I received, from multiple people not just one waitress, was wonderful, friendly and professional. My simple breakfast of sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and toast was prepared with care and my meal was nothing short of delicious! Go to The Grille! You will not be disappointed.

Nice remodel but….No more bakery! The menu is half of what it used to be. I finally got to try the Steak and Lobster Special for $21.99. I knew the Loster would be small. It was two bites! Smaller in size than the drawn butter cup. Way over cooked. The real shock was the Sirloin Steak! It was a very small strip (1 inch wide by 3 inches long) of steak on a bed of brown gravy. I got four bites! Not worth the price. My boyfriend did like his Meatloaf dinner. We did get a discount off of our bill since there were no desserts available as promised with Entree orders. They place was half empty and we had to wait ten minutes for a table due to staff shortages. Service was great. Due to now limited selection, eliminating the Bakery goods, short of staff and my experience with the Steak and Lobster Special…I doubt I will ever return. Sad…cause the Grill used to provide a great variety of meals.

We went to the Grille while on vacation and loved it! We had the prime rib, both the prime rib and the vegetables were so tasty and so tender! Everyone was very attentive and helpful.

Hey it’s a casino restaurant in Carson City but a good meal for prime rib including an old fashioned salad, rolls and a piece of pie at the end. All very tasty with very nice service. Good job Gold Dust West!

Our waitress for dinner was awesome!! I gave a 4 because there was a bit lacking in the seasonings of the food.
