This has been a go to place for us for the past 3-4 yrs. Sadly, the last 2 times we’ve gone, we’ve found the service to be seriously lacking. The last time we sat at the bar and it was 20 minutes before we were greeted by our server, after others who came in after us. The hostess asked our server if she had greeted us and the server said yes. The hostess looked at us and we shook our head as she had not been over- even to say she’d be a minute. The hostess went back to the little room to the left of the counter (if you’re facing the counter) and spoke to her quietly. The server snapped back, loud enough for us to hear at the other end of the counter. It was clear she wasnt enjoying her job that day. We felt badly for the hostess.

The food was excellent as well as the service until my change was returned to me. My bill was $34.66 so I handed the waitress a $50 bill. She brought back $15.00 instead of $15.34 so I asked for my 34 cents, she replied we don’t give change or have it!!!! What do you mean you don’t have change I asked and she replied the same so I said give me a dollar I’ll give you your change. This is totally illegal. So for every person your waitstaff screws out of change you’re reaping the rewards. I’m seriously considering calling the news station to report this. Very dissapointed.

First time here. Place is nice clean and up to date. Liquor is also served here. Sure have Mamosa with your breakfast/lunch. The home fires are delicious. They are garlicky, but I love that. I had the strawberry stuffed French toast. Strawberries were fresh and the filling was just right and not too sweet! Definitely a breakfast spot I will try again.

This new breakfast spot on Plainfield pike has the feel that’s it’s been here for a while. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is kind and attentive. I enjoyed my breakfast very much. Stuffed french toast with banana and peanut butter with made from scratch corn beef hash. Both were well made and very good. The menu is well put together for different tastes and the griddle offers breakfast and brunch. If you’re looking for a good wholesome breakfast with friends, family, or solo this is a great place to go. You won’t be disappointed.
