Down home cooking. Friendly staff. Very cool on a very hot day. They only take cash or check so you know. We liked their food. I had chicken fried chicken. Hubby had chicken fried steak. Good-size portion but we ate it all. I did share 1/3 of my chicken. He said he liked it best.

Food is good, it almost reminds me of a restaurant that used to be in Chanute, but I don’t remember the name. If you can sit at the “Bar” you’ll get waited on faster, that’s if you don’t mind sitting with others. Rubin is my Favorite.

I go here at least twice a week I usually order to take out and they are usually fast and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing you have photos of local places like the fire department from back in the day to present and if you order quite frequently they remember what you like and how you like it. It is very much that good old-fashioned mom-and-pops feel to this however remember they only accept checks or cash. But if you forget cash there is an ATM on-site. Prices are very reasonable for the food that they serve and it always gives you that taste of home cooked meals like Grandma and Mom used to make.

It’s always great dining at Grain Bin Restaurant!! My bacon, eggs, toast and grits were as always wonderful!! They even have my favorite jelly available on the table, Mixed Fruit!! The coffee was really good and hot and all of it served by a very nice server.

Busy little restaurant and the service was really good from the busboy clearing the table I sat at to the cashier taking my payment. I apparently didn’t come in the main entrance cause it’s cash or check payment only ♀️ ♀️but they do take the cost of the ATM fee off the ticket if you have to get cash I think I gave my tip to the wrong server I hand gave the young girl the tip and I don’t think she is the one who took my order…I think she is the one who sat me down ♀️so someone got a $5 tip instead of my waitress/server. SORRY

My wife and I haven’t eaten here in about a year. Had a terrible experience the last time. Thought we would try it again this morning. I told the waitress that I didn’t want my eggs runny. That’s exactly what I was served then on top of that burnt toast. By the time she came back and asked how things was I politely told her about our previous experience. She offered to make my eggs over but my wife was half way finished with her meal. As a local businesses owner myself I try to support local businesses but just don’t know what else to do. The gal at the cashier never bothered to ask how things was so I didn’t make any comments to her. Very frustrating when it’s happened in the past
