My in-laws were visiting from out of state, and someone had suggested a different restaurant for our day in Midland. The other place was closed, so a quick Google search, and I saw The Goose & Gander. A brief search of some of the reviews and pictures, well, we just had to try it. The food was so delicious and for the first time both my daughters (4 & 6) ate all their food. Our server was Grace, and she was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She took wonderful care of our party of 6. The restaurant itself wasn’t too packed at the time we arrived, but it was beginning to get busier as we were leaving. We will definitely be coming back!

Really enjoyed dinner last night. We sat on the patio and it was so nice. They were busy and probably could have used more staff but we weren’t in a hurry. We had the Bruschetta for an appetizer. Wow. Delicious. Also we Split chicken club and that was good too. Look forward to going back!

Nice lil quiet place. We just so happened to stumble across this restaurant while visiting the art fair in Midway Kentucky . Food and service was great. We both decided to try the angus cheeseburgers which were very good. One of the burgers still had steam coming from it and that was after it was halfway gone. Thats pretty impressive. I tried to capture that in one of the photos. 🙂 Next time we will be trying the pizza.

Got the potato skins, ended up being over cooked. Got the cheese curds, over cooked. There wasn’t even cheese in the middle because it was over cooked so bad. Got the pretzels, literally burnt on the bottoms to the point it was black. Somehow with everything being over cooked, it was all cold. Didn’t get drinks for 10 mins after ordering them and the server came out twice before we received them. We only ordered a beer & a well bourbon and coke. The whole restaurant was empty so I can’t see being swamped being an issue on a Sunday evening. Felt like I just threw $60 down the toilet. First time visitors and it will sadly be our last. Very disappointing.

The service was quick, even without reservations. I had the fish sandwich, and this was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had! My husband had the Reuben, and it was good,but still doesn’t beat the Steilacoom Pub’s Reuben. Check this place out!

The Goose and Gander … tough one. Right there for a 5 star rating, but don’t charge me a $1 for a square cube of frozen water! This said, the food was good, the drinks (with the costly cube) we’re needed and excellent. Got The Brown and it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal and town was old, cute and had something for everyone.

First time going and we enjoyed it. They staff was very friendly and we had great service. Pricing was fair and the place was clean. We would definitely go again. Only downside to our visit was the key lime pie wasn’t that great.

I liked this place. I had the beer cheese app and the meatloaf. Both were really good. No complaints about service or atmosphere. They also have a pretty well stocked bar if you are into that.
