Don’t be fooled by the outside or indoor decor… the food is fire. The chili is AMAZING. I went back a second time the weekend I was in LBI for more. In fact, I am craving it now. The wings are also delicious–the best I’ve had in awhile. They’re perfectly crispy and meaty. No gross breading either.

It was casual dress. Shorts t-shirts and flip flops. The food was absolutely the best. The waitress was very good too. The live music was a guy playing the guitar. Which was loud for me, so we sat up on the other side in a more quiet area.

We’ve eaten here a bunch of times and seen live music as well. This last time was late after being in traffic to the Jersey shore. Bonus points for serving food late! My salad was a decent size with tasty shrimp. I missed their specialty drink menu at first, I’m ready to go back to try one. They are unique with your bar bill being separated from your food bill, but the staff is super friendly about the whole thing.

We made it over to The Gateway for dinner on Tuesday night. This was our first time going and it did not disappoint. We both had burgers which were great and I’m a huge fan of their fries (extra crispy). I had the NE clam chowder and my husband had the buffalo wings. Both were great! I was even happier to see they have Lamarca prosecco! I can’t wait to go back!

Awesome food with a very wide variety! Great atmosphere, whether you prefer to be at the bar side or the restaurant area. Been coming here since I was a little kid. But soooo disappointed they stopped the trivia nights!!! Use to be the best trivia on the island.

The waitress forgot my order, got my food after others in my party were halfway finished eating. Other than that, the experience was good. Chowder excellent, leftover salad stayed crisp for days. Live entertainment.
