Established September 2021 The Galley bar and Grill is a family owned and operated restaurant on the corner of Malta Ave and Route 9. Specializing in seafood and american fare including popular dishes such as fish and chips, lobster rolls, homemade macaroni and cheese, and vegan burgers. The Galley has something for everyone, and we strive to create our food and drinks only with the best ingredients. Enjoy our New England style atmosphere featuring a nautical theme with custom woodwork, and family decor that’s been passed down through generations. Enjoy local craft beers, and homemade food with as many local ingredients we can get our hands on. Happy hour, late night menu, weekly entertainment. All are welcome.

Ordered online about 3 hours ahead of time using the restaurant’s website, it was a very easy experience with all the features working well. Went with an order of the Galley Sampler (Fried Pickles, Fried Mozzarella, and Fried Calamari) and the BBQ Chicken Cheddar Melt with a Side Salad.

Most of the menu can be made gluten free! A tiny hidden Gem. Came on Saturday for dinner, they had live music, very old school bar atmosphere with amazing food! I got the gluten free chicken Parm and my daughter was very happy with a gluten free grilled cheese and fries!

From the outside I was ready for an adventure, opened the door and SUPER FRIENDLY staff greeted us. I’m gluten intolerant and have NEVER seen a gluten free friendly menu so extensive! I had CHOICES! I didn’t even care if it was good, I at least got to have something different and when it came out was FREAKING DELICIOUS. I had the onion soup (haven’t had that in 5 years) fish fry sandwich (haven’t had a fish fry in 3 years) and onion straws that were so fine they looked like string from the song sweater by Wheezer; shredded. They had such a great flavor I ate until I thought I would pop. Thank you for being so supportive of those with dietary needs!!!

I’ve been looking forward to trying out The Galley Bar and Grill since the spring and finally made it up today for a late lunch. Boy oh boy was it worth the drive! Splurged on the GF sampler platter (was going to get the fried mozzarella but they didn’t have it yet) and then got the GF shrimp tacos as my main dish! Everything was so delicious! My boyfriend also enjoyed his glutenfull chicken, bacon, ranch quesadilla. We will definitely be back and we’ll bring our friends.

It’s kinda like a “down home” atmosphere. The customers are well known. The food is GREAT. Anything on the menu can be made gluten-free. There was live music. Definitely a bar feel to it. But a family friendly bar.

Great news! We stopped at the newly opened The Galley Bar and Grill after hearing that most of their fried items are gluten-free! They use a dedicated fryer and everything was delicious! The restaurant has been open for 4 weeks and they are open for dinner Monday through Saturday, lunch and dinner Thursday through Saturday. If you’ve been missing fried items like I have…go there!
