We stopped in for a late lunch. They no longer take credit cards – cash or check only – which limited our spending power as we didn’t have much cash on us and no way to use the atm. Food was good, although everything seemed a la carte as our sandwich orders didn’t come with any sides.

Great place to go for a meal when you’re in this neck of the woods. We were staying in Hallock on a Sunday and nothing was open. The Frog Pond had great burgers, fries and cold beer. They also had a tips & toast over mashed potatoes special going on. The server wasn’t trying to be my best friend or anything, but she was prompt and knew what she was doing. She had a lot of tables to juggle at once and did it well. @devinejd

The place is great. Food comes out in a timely manner and is delicious. They offer a variety of options from appetizers to meals. They have specialty meals each day. Service is quick and they bring you what you need. The atmosphere is amazing and friendly.

The Frog Pond is more than just a great restaurant, it’s an experience. Delicious food and great service. The specials are always fresh and delicious and can range from prime rib or shrimp to a soup and salad. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The decor is very unique and well set up and is a great conversation starter. It gets very busy at times but the staff seems to handle it very well. The half-wall that separates the bar section from the restaurant section helps make the place quite family friendly without giving a boxed-in feeling. Whether you’re in the mood for a burger, a salad, or just some appetizers, they’ve got what your need and more. “The Pond” is definitely a favorite of ours for both dine-in and take-out.

The food is always amazing. The salad bar has always been fresh and well stocked when I’ve been there. The daily specials generally sound good and end up tasting amazing. But if you are more into something simple, like a club sandwich, they have that too.
