The owner was not friendly to visitors, very loud, and obnoxious. He was friendly to people he knew around us and asked about their meal, sometimes repeatedly, but never said anything to us. He sat visiting with the people next to us and started talking about cleaning restrooms and how bad women’s restrooms are. Very unpleasant when you are trying to have a nice meal. I would not recommend this place to any out of town guests .

Small, cozy bar with fantastic craft cocktails and an ever-changing menu featuring amazing dishes from all over. I’ve had a burger topped with Korean slaw, chicken Tikka masala, and black garlic hummus on the same day. I make it a point to stop by when I’m in Salida. I never know what’s gonna be on the menu, but I know I’m always going to be able to get something amazing. I have never left hungry, and I have never left disappointed.

Visited on two consecutive nights. The first was a quiet evening with few patrons. The service was great and the food spectacular. A real treat. Perfect date for us. The second was crowded and noisy. We were waited on by four different people. But none seemed to have ownership of our table. The food was delivered in steps. Some came out cold and some was delayed by 30 to 45 minutes. What was finally delivered was excellent. I think they were overwhelmed with visitors.

We really enjoyed ourselves at the Fritz. The drinks are top notch and the food is probably the best in town. Great service from the bartenders and the Chef as well. Nice ambiance too

Last Saturday night! Just keeps getting worse and worse. Older short hair heavy set lady bartender had a screaming melt down over the drink I ordered which every bar has the ingredients for. Publicly tried to humiliate me since that drink is only for morning alcoholics and sadly I work full time and don’t start drinking before dinner time. Both bartenders told me I can have the drink just not there. Telling me to leave. Then after she insults me, still keeps asking what I wanted to drink when she knew exactly what I stopped in for. They took the meatballs off the menu so crazy rule that elderly / handicapped or people with pets can’t order take out. Have no reason to ever come back. The waitress from Currents should replace her asap. Much better service!

If you eat at one place in Salida, make it this one. If you order drinks in Salida, order them here. If you love Mezcal, it’s the only game in town. We came on multiple nights and everything was delicious, the staff was always friendly and the cocktails are perfect. The salads are particularly tasty and the owner made us feel right at home. Seriously, we’re coming back next time we’re in Salida.

Shockingly bad food, the cocktails are amazing but don’t make up for the low effort and terrible quality of the meals. We had burgers, potstickers, pork belly, tikka masala, and truffle fries. Didn’t really enjoy any of it, the burger was cold and they didn’t even bother to melt the cheese.

We are locals who have gone to Fritz over the years and always very pleased until the other day. Yes the beer and wine was perfect however the potstickers were fried to the point of dry and tasteless and the fries were soggy, very salty (yes they can be messed up) If there was truffle oil on the fries we could not see or taste it. We suspect they converted to an industrial restaurant food in the kitchen. So disappointing. Also, no one checked on us after being served. Time to up the food and service at the Fritz.

This is a really great little bar and restaurant in downtown Salida. Fast service and great drinks and food. There burger of the day is constantly changing and is really good. You can combine little plates and big plates to give yourself a wonderful variety of interesting cuisine. Also try the ginger lemonade, it is delicious. Do not pass up the opportunity to try out this great place.
