Drinks were really good and the store was clean and welcoming. I would definitely come back again and I love that they have a drink for the puppers!

Probably the best protein shake shop in the area. I had the chunky monkey which was delicious. Friendly employees and nice atmosphere.

First off, I love The Fresh Monkee. I used to frequent the Southington location as I worked across the street prior to moving to Manchester a few years back. I’ve been to several of their locations. The issue isn’t the business, it’s this location itself. Most of the staff I’ve encountered here don’t really seem to enjoy their job & there is no consistency at this location. The shakes made are rushed, whether they’re busy or not. I typically get a shake once every week or so. If you love chocolate, try the dark chocolate truffle, add nutella – it’s phenomenal. However, I’ve had 3 shakes recently – two were missing an ingredient which was rectified by giving me a gift card. My most recent shake had so much ice that instead of remaking it, the staff member just kept adding liquid; my shake was essentially flavorless. I didn’t say anything this time because what is the point? The shakes here are typically either too thin or not blended enough so instead of a smooth shake, you have chunks of ice or product. Just let the blender finish blending the product. I’ll be back as I love the business, but I’m just disappointed.

Such an awesome place, my coworkers and I go here so often we should have stock in this place. Havent tried one we didnt like. Smells like a bowling alley in the store. Very friendly staff, cute set up. Reminds me of a froyo place how the inside is set up.

$10 for a small basic drink now. ♂️ ….because of the new CT minimum wage law. Guess I have to make my own now.

When I was pregnant I couldn’t eat much so I would drink smoothies instead. I couldn’t wear a mask due to sudden drop in blood pressure while pregnant-I would pass out. Even at my doctors visits I couldn’t wear a mask. Every single time I went to this place I was screamed at and lectured by some teeny bopper about how I’m endangering them and going to kill their grandma….or something….these people were not my doctor, none of them were experts of any kind, yet they felt morally superior to have full blown melt downs because of a mask-that I medically could not wear-despite data being available, even back then, showing masks don’t do squat and are actually dangerous when used for prolonged periods of time. I stopped going because I’m not paying friggen $12 to have some college kid disrespect me and raise their voice and act condescending and rude, when all I want is a smoothie to not pass out from low blood sugar. Despite my loathing for this place, I recently went again per someone else’s request. They don’t shriek over masks now, instead the girl ringing me out just tapped her fingers and rolled her eyes. She asked if I wanted to tip. The girl making my smoothie was wonderful however, so I said sure. I was already in the other side of the counter so I said just hit the first option (I think it’s like 10% or something) this chick hits the last option which is like 25% or something absurd. I was so mad, especially because she was such a priss anyways. She didn’t deserve a penny, but gave herself a huge tip. That was the final straw for me.

Wide selection of shakes, unique special flavors, pretty fast but the smoothies aren’t always consistent in taste. They have a rewards program too so frequent customers can earn free smoothies.

Love this place! I am a new vegan and this is one of the few places I can go that has a variety of options for my diet. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, they have stopped me from unknowingly ordering shakes with animal products. Great service and shakes!

The girls were super friendly and gave us a nice introduction since it was our first time visiting. We tried the Strawberry Moon and the Hazelnut Monkee. They were delicious you wouldn’t think it’s a protein based shake/smoothie. I love the fresh ingredients and being able to see it getting made. Definitely going to try some different flavors and add-ons next time!
