I must say I was a bit enchanted by the owner’s pictures of the snapper, full snapper, that looked more baked vs the fried one we had. Although it wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad either. Meaning I won’t get up in the morning and crave this snapper but we ate it and it was good food. The coconut rice was decent as well and the fried plantain was good as well

Not your average Jamaican/Caribbean food spot. Think modern and FRESH. I love their sautéed kale, patties and plantains. Tried the oxtail with rice and peas today and it was absolutely amazing ( def shareable, I think it comes in one size but that’s a decent size dish!) I love that they make certain things to order so the food isn’t just sitting on a steam table all day. Great service as well.

Food is delicious. Red snapper with coconut rice and peas and plantains was delicious. Fish was done perfect, you could taste coconut in rice and peas. Mac and cheese was good. Home cooked meal for take out. Definitely will be back when in this neighborhood.

Very great experience! We had a beautifully made curry goat platter (that I wish I ordered more of) with buss up, and two patties (curry chicken and beef). Whoever is in the back making curry definitely knows what they’re doing. 100% will return again.

The food was delicious! And the service was friendly and professional. If I could I’d give them Four and a half stars instead of five because my oxtail seemed to be lacking a good amount of actual oxtail meat (I could confirm this after comparing it to other reviewers’ pictures of their oxtail meals from here). Also the “Parmesan truffle Fries” were exactly the same as the regular French fries my kids got with their fried chicken. It almost seemed like they forgot to prepare them. Either way, these are minor complaints in what was otherwise a very good experience. Good portion sizes and very flavorful, delicious and fresh food. I recommend anybody interested in good Jamaican food stop by. I will definitely come back!!!

Good Neighbor
First foremost the food is divine! Friendly staff and the layout for a take-out restaurant is simply beautiful. It’s truly a hidden a gem. My favorites are the jerk pork, wonder wings, coconut rice and peas, kale, baked Mac and cheese and jerk chicken. The best part about most of the items on the menu, they are made in house and made with love. Great food takes time and you can taste the love and soul in each and every bite. The town of Huntington needed this! If you haven’t tried Caribbean/ Soul Food now is your chance to take your pallet on a journey! Come and support our neighbor.

The Foood Spot is amazing. We got food catered(Jerk Shrimp, Mac & Cheese and Jamaican Cabbage) from here and it was delicious. All my guess couldn’t stop asking where did i get it from because it was so good. I will definitely be back for more food. The prices are great too. Best spot in town!!!

We had the Jerk pork with coconut rice and collard greens. The pork was tender, the rice tasty and the collards were delicious. The portions were so big that we didn’t have room for the Lemon cake so we ate it for breakfast! We often get takeout on Fridays and this will be a frequent stop.
