The owner, Allie (hope the spelling is correct!) came out and greeted us after cooking the most delicious deconstructed bacon burger I have ever eaten (bloomin bacon burger, with gluten free bun added!). She was the sweetest and took to time to come and see how the food turned out. The food takes a bit longer than you’d expect, but it tastes so much better than you’d expect, so it’s well worth the wait! I’m visiting my family from out of state and this place was highly recommended. Great atmosphere and love the little cafe setup they have going. Will definitely come back!

Really nice little spot with freshly prepared food, excellent ingredients. I didn’t see any baked goods displayed but the wholly cow burger was huge and my son raved anout the blueberry French toast. To me, I would’ve been happier with a smaller patty and more seasoning (which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars) or putting the mushrooms on the burger with the lettuce blocking it from the bun bc the bun quickly disintegrated. Otherwise a really nice find in Mt. Vernon and we will be back whenever we pass through. The service was super friendly (albeit a little slow) – but worth the wait given that it was freshly prepared and steaming hot.

Ordered this cake for my moms birthday and it was absolutely delicious! The overall customer service was fantastic. My order was placed right away when I called and all my questions were answered throughly. Will definitely be ordering this cake again.

While the service is nothing to write home about, the employees seemed pleasant enough for a business that had no A/C and an open kitchen whos smoke bled uncomfortable heat and smell into the restaurant and into the street. The food however, was bland, greasy, oddly proportioned, and extremely overpriced.

Heard wonderful things about this place and finally had the chance to try it. The counter service was very friendly and the gentleman who delivered the food to our table was so sweet. I had a hamburger, fries with a soda pop and the burger was cooked perfectly. They had a wonderful assortment of bakery items that will be on the list to try next time. Off the dinning area there is a beautiful boutique with ladies and children’s clothing. The blouses were so beautiful. Such a lovely restaurant and clothing store addition to a Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Gave the 3 star on potential I guess. Ordered 4 over easy eggs and biscuits and gravy. Received 1 over well, and 3 over medium. Gravy tasted great but ruined by the fact that the biscuits were still doughy in the middle. It is very clean, nice atmosphere, and friendly people. May give it another try some day.

Too slow for cold omelet and fresh biscuits were dough. Egg whites were running, hubby ordered over medium. It could be a great place. This was our 3rd visit. No More.
