This restaurant seemed upbeat and amazing but it is easily disguised and managed by unprofessional Individuals. On my special night, my birthday to be exact, the owners wife decides to allow her best friend that apparently had one too may drinks to come in and take away the mic from me and just because I defended myself and refused to give her the mic, the owners wife shut our party down, now mind you we was not doing anything wrong, no fighting, nothing. Then to top it off the police was called to escort us out! This is a very unprofessional establishment that acts off personal feelings and I’m sure they will not be in business long at all. Please review other reviews. God bless!

We came in at 12:30 Friday night for food and drinks. We were told to take a seat and someone would be with us. I asked the bartender for a margarita and she tried to make me sit down with the rest of my table and wait, I told her I would pay for it at the bar. Thankfully I got my margarita and paid for it. I went back to sit with my friends who wanted food, and we proceeded to sit for HALF AN HOUR with NO SERVICE. After 20 minutes, we finally got a server to come to us who stated “I forgot all about y’all”. That was rude and inappropriate. My friends ordered 4 Margarita’s and she didn’t even leave the menu for us to look at food. I had to go up to her and ask for one, which she gave to me with an attitude.

Terrible experience! We were promptly served drinks but waited 45 minutes for two side dishes to split. We were told that the kitchen was backed up with orders before ours. which was laughable because the place was almost empty. No apologies were given. I wish I could rate the food but we had to leave for the concert and never ate. At a minimum I thought our drinks would be free, but to no avail. My advice is to stay away from this restaurant.

I’m very irate at the service or lack there of that was given to me and my party on May 7, 2017. I heard about the new black owned location from a friend who attended the soft opening. After reading the article in Creative Loafing about hoping the restaurant beat the curse of the location, I excitedly jumped at the opportunity to support and made the reservation on April 6, 2017 with one of the owner’s, Jacquette, over the phone with full details of my birthday party, the amount of 20 guests and the theme of the event. Followed up with confirming with the General Manager, Cecil, in person on April 26, 2017 and modified the details to 25 people, did a walk through and finalized the setup of the area. I was assured by Cecil that the setup I was requesting could be honored with no problem. I’m left baffled and speechless as to how after all that preparation the restaurant was still ill prepared to serve my party adequately. Once I arrived on the day of the event the tables were not set up and the host was not even aware that my party was to be there. She then checked the book & stated oh I do see your reservation. I personally moved and rearranged the tables in order to be prepared for my guests arrival at 1:00 pm. Every time we requested to order food we were told that they were only taking drink orders at that time. After multiple requests to our server to order food, our food order was actually taken at 2:00 pm. By 3:00 pm, only 4 people out of the party of 25 had received food. Outside of that toast and one order of home fries was brought to the table, additionally side orders without the entree and plates arrives in 20 minute intervals for us. There was only a small degree of attempts to correct the situation, we received mostly excuses for the inadequacies of the kitchen staff. Was even informed that one of staff was sick. What made the situation more atrocious was that one of the Manager’s did nothing to attempt to fix the problem, he watched tv while sipping a beer until the next party came and he needed the space for NFL player, Thomas Davis’, party. The Manager had the audacity to ask how much longer were we going to be, while aware that the majority of us had not been served our food yet. The day went from dismal to abominable when the Manager bad mouthed us to the next group who arrived and wondered why their table wasn’t ready. His attempt to blame the situation on my party of 25 highly educated and successful women is simply detestable. The Manager failed to accept the failure of the restaurant’s execrable business sense, abhorrent communication and dreadful customer service. What should have been a marvelously celebratory celebration of my birth is now marred by the negligent ineptness of the restaurant. What disappoints me the greatest, is that the restaurant I gave blind support to merely because of my allegiance to uphold black owned businesses and build my own community failed miserably to give the same value and merit to my friends & our decision to spend our money there. Especially since it was more likely that we would have frequented the restaurant more often than Mr. Davis.

Everything started out amazing for my amazing bosses Birthday bash! But…. It ended in disaster. Very unprofessional environment, as the owners wife allowed one of her drunk friends into OUR VIP section, which should have been blocked off for any outsiders being that it was PAID for. Anyway, this drunken woman crashes the party and because we didn’t allow her to. The owner shut it down, called the cops to escort US, though we were where we were supposed to be, and allowed a man to threaten my manager. The restrooms were disgusting and I saw rats which is why I didn’t order any food. Never returning there again.

Good food. Was on a golf trip with friends and we went here 3 consecutive nights after rounds to hang and chill. Great mix of new and older hip hop music, and the “scenery” was very appealing, as there are 2 clubs and Wet Willies right next door.

The food is not good and maybe because it’s late seems like all of our items are burnt in old grease. I have been in food service for over 30yrs and has a degree in Hospitality and Tourism management and this place is not it. Currently I am still here and the drinks are bad as well. Ordered some Moscato and did not even get a half glass and when was asked the manager told the waitress that was it even she knew it was bad. Money is not the object but I sure would like to pay for at the least minimum service.

I never write reviews but I had to because of my experience last night at this restaurant. Some friends and I met up to go to a concert and thought we would go to a nice place to eat before so our friends decided on the factory Cafe, our friends were already there sitting on the patio we have to go inside after waiting a few min to get the waiter (who with 2 other server’s were standing at the bar talking) to come out and take our order. if he had only used a pen to write down our drink order maybe he might have gotten it right and carried it on the tray instead of four trips we would have gotten past that part without using another co-worker to help one drink at a time. We ordered the muscles and Wing appetizers the wings came out fully uncut and cold it looked pretty on the plate but was not the traditional wings most are use to plus we had to ask for the blue cheese and napkins that we had ordered with them to begin with, who serves wings without napkins? they were out of mussels so I decided on a Cobb salad the Cobb salad came out with just lettuce, tomato, chicken, bacon, three slices of avocado and a boiled egg cut in half there was No roquefort cheese chunks No vinaigrette which I had asked for on the side when the food came out, instead of a vinaigrette they brought me white vinegar & oil in separate souffle cups. The other couple’s food looked fantastic one had the shrimp and grits and one had the rib plate which smelled really good but the meat had no flavor she was not impressed . When it was all said and done we got our bill and it was well over $100 in my personal opinion I do not think that it was worth even $50 and I don’t believe that you should waste your time and money on this establishment …

I usually never write reviews, but was compelled to, this time. I was there with two of my colleagues for their opening day. The ambiance is beautiful, however it lacks service. We entered the restaurant and were greeted after two minutes, the restaurant was not at capacity. There was confusion of where to seat us. We grabbed a high top table next to the door, and were asked for our drink orders that came after 10 minutes. One of my colleagues then ordered a Shirley Temple, and the waitress came over and stated “they are looking to see if they have grenadine, to make the drink” the drink comes after a half hour from the time it was ordered. We order our food, A Philly Cheese Steak with Fries, A shrimp salad and a calamari from the menu. After an hour and 15 minutes our food was ready. Since we had a meeting we had to leave with no food. I try to give it a chance, and went this morning for breakfast. I was the only person ordering. I ordered their breakfast special eggs, sausage links, and home fries and substituted their English muffin with a biscuit. I had asked for scrambled eggs, the eggs were wet, the sausage link did not have a pleasant smell, and the home fries with the onions, were not seasoned as home fries would be and burnt onions. I have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, under the tutelage of some of the best chefs in New York City, either in a management role and a marketing consultant. Opening days, are crucial, but I also understood it could be chaotic, but there was no direction from anyone. The kitchen staff looked confused and in disarray. A kitchen should be comprised of stations with an expediter or chef calling out the order and staff member acknowledging the order and off to work they go in unison, , it seemed everyone was at the window trying to find out what they needed to do next. Two different “managers” had come to our table to ask if our order was placed on 3 separate occasions. The last straw unfortunately was this breakfast. I hope they make changes real fast, for their sake, if not I don’t see it thriving more than a year at best, and that is a very liberal estimation.
