The service was great, the bartender at the front was very friendly. The person who even brought my food was nice. The food was awful. The empanadas were over cooked. The string beans were just sitting in the Thai chili sauce. It had a lot of cheese and you really couldn’t tasted anything else. I had 2 shrimp empanadas and the sting beans for 37 dollars. I will never waste my money on that food again. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get. They also add a LOvE tax and mine was 6 dollars lol.

Awesome service, very great staff!!! I love the environment very welcoming. Rhy was an amazing bartender, she made a great drink old fashioned, and had even better conversation. Food was great as usual. I visited the previous location and quickly learned that these empanadas are the best in the city.

I was met by the savory smell of empanadas as I approached the building. That smell was reminiscent of the aromas from NYC. It was the smell that told me I was about to get some authentic and delicious empanadas. I was not wrong! Not only did I get my complimentary veggie empanada, but I also got shrimp, rice and beans, caramel bread pudding, and a Nada cocktail (non alcoholic). When I say it was all great and had me doing a happy dance . I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she’s the real deal and is passionate about her food. These recipes were passed down from her grandmother and you taste the love in every bite. Each empanada is freshly made with the dough being hand rolled. Unlike many places that offer empanadas, these are pretty big and come in a variety of flavors. They even have a vegan option. Now let’s talk about the dessert options. They have cupcakes , apple empanadas, and bread pudding. During my visit they had Red Velvet and Caramel bread pudding. Just about anything with caramel has got my attention. My bread pudding was warm and the caramel was seeping through all the nooks and crannies and was amazing If you can’t get enough of these tasty empanadas, you can buy them frozen and have them whenever you want I also love the vibe if this place. It was spacious and airy. You feel like you’re entering someone’s home with the sofa by a huge window that lets all of the sunlight in as you sip your cocktail There is also bar seating.

My family and I loved the food, but I was double charged ($252 twice with different cents) on my credit card. I called the restaurant about this issue and I was told the manager was not available and they want me to leave my name and number. I always try to support my black owned businesses, but we really need to understand the value of our customers. Please understand that “Word of mouth” is the best advertisement and it can also hurt your business.
