Howdy, lake lovers! I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dock Bar and Grill in Hayward, Wisconsin, and let me tell ya, it was a real lakeside delight. Located right on the shores of beautiful Hayward Lake, this place offers not only stunning views but also some mouthwatering dishes. The menu had a little something for everyone, from juicy burgers, fried chicken, to fish and chips. I couldn’t resist trying their famous fish fry, and boy, was it worth it! The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, served with a side of golden fries. The atmosphere was laid-back and friendly, with outdoor seating options that allowed me to soak up the sun while enjoying my meal. The service was as warm and welcoming as a summer breeze, with attentive staff ensuring that every guest had a memorable experience. Whether you’re looking for a tasty bite or simply want to unwind by the lake, The Dock Bar and Grill in Hayward is the place to be. Cheers to good food and good times!

Notice that all the bad reviews are older than three years and the great reviews are more recent. Under new ownership, Butch has done a great job improving the food and services. Their chicken is the best in Hayward area. Pizzas and burgers are very good. We live on Round Lake and this is our go to place for food’

Great service on a very busy Sunday evening. We sat outside. Lovely atmosphere. Shaded table. Waitress came immediately and was very attentive. We ordered broasted chicken and appetizers. Cheese curds and mushrooms came right away and were yummy! Broasted chicken was excellent. We have also had the pizza and it is delicious. I highly recommend!

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. When better seating was available so that we could have all sat together no one cleaned off tables so that we could move. Was not the best seating. Pizza was good, but felt like we were intruders.

DO NOT order a pitcher of beer from here. Last Friday, 8/18/2023, around noon stopped in with group of guys. Order three large pizzas and 3 pitchers of beer – we did this so the waitress wouldnt be constantly refilling glasses. Granted, we did order “craft” beer, but when we got our bill…the beer was more than the pizzas!!! Per pitcher, the beer was $36.00 each for a total of $108 – that American dollars for those adding at home. When we questioned it, waitress said she asked the owner “what to charge” and was told charge for 6 glasses of beer per pitcher!!!! I’d challenge them to get 6 glasses of beer per pitcher and no bar charges same for pitcher as they do per glass. Since we were on the flowage all weekend, we asked several other bars we stopped at and the common answer for craft beer was around $15 per pitcher(if your wondering, some were even less).

This place was a joke. We stood in the entry for over five minutes and were passed by several employees who never said a word to us. This was at 4 pm, so we left without being seated. Very limited seating and noisy. If you want good food, good severs and a good atmosphere, go down the road east for a few miles to Treelands.

I love the newly revamped Dock! My favorites are the broasted chicken (and who doesn’t love mashed potatoes and gravy!) and their pizza! Great service every time I’ve been there and a fun atmosphere.

The food is fine, but the service is terrible. Waited for almost an hour, had to ask why our order took so long. It was ‘thrown’ on the table after another 10 minutes without anything of an apology (“Well, chicken takes longest….”). We felt like the waitress would have rather be anywhere else than at work. Not welcoming at all. On top of that, a worker was drilling and grinding on the outside of the buiding, making conversation a bit difficult.
