Food was actually pretty good, even my extremely picky girlfriend liked everything! I liked how it’s set up like an actual dining room experience. I’ll also add I have never once seen an owner of a restaurant carry a customer’s plate and help her grab anything she wanted from the buffet then proceeded to hold her hand as he walked her back to her table. Loved it!

Nice and comfy inside, like your eating in grandma’s home.

We had breakfast @ lunch time. She had 2 eggs, hash browns and fresh oatmeal toast. I had a game and cheese omelet, home fries and homemade wheat toast. Both orders were done as requested, seasoned very well, my omelet was the best I’ve had in decades. It’s run by a nice family trying to make it, if they were on the main street there would be lots more people eating here. Food is old fashioned home cooking done great.

Awesome home style with menu or buffet. The food reminds me of my aunt Laura’s cooking on the farm. It’s on a side street off the main drag in Sandusky and signs are simple black and white home made. Definitely worth checking out but don’t expect it to be “fancy” it’s more like visiting family. This is one of those genuine kind of places that Applebee’s and Cracker Barrel try to pretend to be. One of the owners has bad poultry allergies so no poultry on the menu. The beef and pork are slow cooked and fork tender. Just remind the kids there’s no chicken fingers on the menu. Worth a try!

First I want to say the little boy who waited on us was so sweet and you could tell when we came in they were overwhelmed and probably just finished with a rush of people. They truly are trying, we just weren’t impressed with the food at all and I don’t think everyone is meant to serve food to the public. The wait was so long that another table before us had to take their food to go by the time it was done and I’m not sure why but another couple received their food and got up and walked out without eating anything. The patty melts were pretty decent with a thick burger but fries were thin, burnt and soggy, the eggs were loaded with pepper (some people don’t like pepper , that should be up to the customer to put on in my opinion), every piece of toast was burnt, the sausage tasted like old grease, the hash brown serving size with the breakfast was like two bites and they were cold and half raw. I do think they were trying, just maybe not their calling. That’s just my opinion, I was a little disappointed about the amount of money we spent on food to take it home and feed to our dogs.

Decent food. The salad bar didn’t have much meat options but was still good. Service was ok. Make sure you pay cash it cost extra for card. Only major down side was the women’s restroom stall with the baby station was out of order and locked so that wasn’t too great with my one year old. Overall wasn’t a bad experience like most say.

Now That Was Good!…had the buffet. Tried a little bit of everything… The meatloaf was really good. Oh and the mac and cheese haha. Tried lasagna with sauerkraut in it for the first time doesn’t sound like it goes together but it was really good

I’d rate it a zero but that isn’t an option so I’ll give it a star. Can’t say I’ve had worse food, fries honestly couldn’t have been more soggy. I’d recommend to someone with dentures.
