Our ‘Go To’ eating spot at Island View. Service is always great, once you are seated. Be prepared to wait for up to 30 min to get in on busy nights. The menu is limited to a short list of diner fare – burgers, chicken, sandwiches and salads. It has been an abbreviated menu since the start of Covid. There is also a daily Blue Plate Special. I particularly enjoy their Patty Melt and their Southern Philly Cheese steak (it’s Steak, Cheese, Pepper and onions on a toasted French roll, with brown gravy and breaded shrimp on top). Seating space is also still limited to about 10 tables since the start of the pandemic. Order to Serving time is quick, and both the kitchen staff and wait staff are upbeat and friendly. I just wish they added a few more menu items to provide more dining selections

The Diner is a great option for food. They are open late. They have breakfast and dinner options. The food is really good. The seating is pretty close so you want have much privacy. They also wont let you do take out so you have to be seated and eat some before you can get a to go box. I would recommend the salads, club sandwich, and the burgers. Nice portions for the price.
