Lunch & Dinner delivery begins at 4 pm Monday – Friday, and 11:30 Saturday & Sunday.
Carry out is all open hours.
Delivery is available within a 5 mile radius of the restaurant, including Lake Linganore, West Winds, & Spring Ridge. We accept delivery orders up to 15 minutes prior to closing the kitchen.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Derby Restaurant & Bar for brunch today, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the atmosphere. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the rustic charm of the decor, with its exposed brick walls, vintage light fixtures, and cozy booths. It was the perfect setting for a lazy Sunday morning, and I couldn’t help but feel relaxed and at ease as I perused the menu.

The service was good. The crab soup lacks the main ingredient of crab!!! The fried mozzarella is really good. The Cuban was decent for not being at a Spanish or Cuban restaurant. My plate came with all the leftover fry pieces, and I feel that should have been caught by the server or bartender who brought the food. The drinks are cold and STRONG!!! I would recommend this place. A little off-the-beaten path but worth a trip. During the summer it looks like this place would be great with a huge outside section!!!

When in the mood for bar, restaurant of the local watering hole variety, the Derby fits just right. Your guaranteed to bump into someone familiar or new acquaintance.. The kitchen is lightening fast, and food arrives within minutes of ordering. The happy hour is popular with locals and passersby, with nightly specials. Burgers night is by far the best and add your choice of toppings make it must try.. The craft brew on tap is added bonus to complement domestic and mixed drinks . Bartender is knowledgeable and fast, and need to be because they serve the whole bar.. Which means when crowd rolls in get your drinks when you can. The bar scene is laid back with jukebox playing mostly county and classic rock.. Watching the game here requires getting a seat with a straight shot of the TV’s.. Menu has plenty of choices and worth a look when in the area. Parking out back, street side or next door. Busy on weekends and prime time so reservations recommended. A creative and fun down home bar experience overall.

Amazing food! We had multiple appetizers, and an entree. Everything we had was delicious! The portions were huge! The menu is massive with soo much diverse food. It was hard to choose!

Ordered a pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni was burnt. Asked the manager and he said it was done that way to make the pepperoni crisp. Looks like charcoal! He kindly gave me two dollars off because if I took off the toppings, it was like a cheese pizza. I was in a rush, so I paid and left. The worst pizza I have ever had.

Went there yesterday for lunch right around noon, four of us. Our table was dirty and hostess made little effort. Also person delivering food threw 3 out of the four plates at us. One, her sandwich and fries were on the dirty table and practically in her lap. The food delivery person was distracted and exceedingly careless. Then just ran away. The food is always good but we won’t be back any time soon. It was embarrassing to take guests there.

The Derby is a favored place of mine! The staff are always friendly and the owner frequents and interacts with people. The seating inside is good and the outdoor seating is great! They being live music to entertain too,(not sure when). The food is always great, and very satisfying. The scallops dinner is priced well and you get so much. The crabby pizza is the best I’ve had around. The drinks are good and they have a full bar. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Food, service, and we’re great, and they were kind enough to let us order breakfast after being a few minutes late. The 4 star is only due to ordering Chesapeake Benedict and getting a regular Benedict, which was excellent. I believe they used a spiral ham that had a smokey flavor instead of Canadian bacon. I’ll be back!

A fun and tasty treat in New Market! My family and I dropped by last Saturday evening to try it out after a friend had recommended coming here. We sat in the large outdoor area in the rear; our waitress was super kind and made sure our umbrella kept all the sun off of us. There was a band playing a good mix of rock and pop hits. The food was very good – I particularly enjoyed the steak and cheese egg rolls. Service was good, but once things got busy, some of our friends at the table had very long waits to get their food and drinks. There is parking out back but be ready to find street parking if you come on a busy night. A fun, tasty experience with good food, good music, and a great time! Make sure to swing by if you are in the area!

I only have positive things to say about The Derby! We went to The Derby to check out their Rochester Platter (Garbage Plate, as Western New York natives will know it as). However, they have a good variety of bar food and traditional entrees. Our waitress was extremely nice and personable, the food came out fast and fresh. Parking was easy. Ambiance was extremely pleasant. Most importantly, everything was absolutely tasty! We will definitely be back again!
