This review is from my visit in early September 2022, my first time there with my son. I really liked this place with the ultra down home friendly staff and the theme of a thrift store of bunch of cool old items for sale.

Stopped in for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Carla had excellent recommendations and was very friendly. She never skipped a beat and took great care of us. Green chili is amazing. My husband had the haystack and said best biscuits he’s ever had! We’ll be back to visit from Greeley.

I love supporting small business. This very clean little mom and pop diner w/small thrift store items for sale. It was very quiet upon our arrival, no people, no music, silent. Just when we thought they may be closed we were greeted by a waitress. She was very hospitable, nice, and answered my many questions. 1. Is the green chili vegetarian? No, lard. 2. Are the beans vegetarian? Yes. Do you have salsa? Yes, but, in a packet, not fresh. I wouldn’t think the country gravy is vegetarian either, but forgot to ask, it’s traditionally made with chicken stock. Anyway, the questions helped w/my ordering, I ordered the huevos rancheros, no green chili. It was okay, the hash browns were a little greasier than I would prefer. The salsa packets, not good. Hubs had a basic breakfast, eggs w/cheddar, (you should specify, or else they use American) bacon, hash browns, and french toast. His french toast was burnt on the outside and smooshy on the inside, sadly he didn’t say anything, and ate it disappointed. We also ordered beignets and a cini mini. The cini mini was a small cinnamon with icing pancake and it was delicious! The beignets weren’t authentic, in the fact that they were more dense biscuity, instead of a light and fluffy, like a French style pastry. Overall this place was decent and worth dining at, there was a small crowd before we left, still no music (which I found bizarre). They could use a few minor improvements to really make this place pop and be more mentionable. Natural maple syrup, fresh OJ, salsa, and no one time use plastics, ex. straws/bags and styrofoam. Let’s help save Colorado and the planet (we only have one :).

This is such a nice little mom and pop Cafe. The food brings me back to my early years when my great grandma would cook breakfast for the whole family. Plus, you can look at some antiques while you wait for your food. So many cool things to look at. The service is great as well. Make sure to get there before lunch, it gets quite loud in such a small space. Definitely recommend

I ordered the Texas breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. I think the gravy could use a little boost of flavor, but it was fine. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is small and they have a lot of items inside on display that are for sale. Kind of like a garage sale. The coffee was just ok. They also have a nice lunch menu.

If you dine in expect an amazing experience if you order out your nothing to them. This is twice I’ve ordered out and both time have been awful. 30 bucks to get this. It’s an absolute shame because the food is amazing when you go in and sit down.

I’m really confused as to why people like this place, I guess typical Milliken. They use American cheese and their main area is pretty unsanitary. I’m from Texas so I know my way around a breakfast burrito and this place’s had no flavor whatsoever. The American cheese was nasty and cheap too. There’s better breakfast places around, I’d skip this place.

For the small town… it’s decent. However their sausage gravy is beyond horrible. Like package store bought gross. How hard is it to make a true gravy from scratch? I will be back but definitely not ordering anything with the gravy

I’m so glad cracked egg is back open! We haven’t been able to come by for a while, but we decided to go for it today, and the food was fantastic! And my husband ordered hash browns, extra crispy…he’s really picky too, and he said they were delicious! Our go to place for breakfast when we don’t want to cook!
