I’m not a huge seafood eater but I will tell you there isn’t anywhere better to eat seafood than at the beach. We stumbled upon this place after another recommendation had a long wait. We walked in, Jody, our waiter sat us right away. He was friendly, quick and makes some awesome sweet tea!!! The chef knows what they’re doing in the kitchen because everything we had and tried was AMAZING!! The smoked crab dip, delish, the crab cakes, yum! Even something as simple as a grilled cheese for the kids was fancy and delicious!! The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were nicely renovated and clean. My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. He’s going back on Saturday for all you can eat crab legs. Great food and atmosphere with plenty to walk around after eating. 10/10

Great service and great food. The best sangria’s that we’ve had on the island! Beautiful interior and bar upstairs and downstairs. We came for lunch which was great (fish n chips, shrimp tacos and house salad were great!). Upstairs bar has a wonderful view that we’re told is amazing for sunsets. We’ll definitely be back! Great food, service and atmosphere.

We came across this place by chance. Absolutely amazing food! Jody our waiter is from Lexington NC. If you ever visit…this is hands down the place to eat. Make sure to ask for Jody he will take very good care of you and is the friendliest person to have served us in a long time. Thank you Jody, see you Saturday for all you can eat Snow Crab!

Jody our waiter was FANTASTIC! The food was incredible. I got “Under the Sea” it has crab legs and lobster and hush puppies. Everyone at our table loved the food. Thank you for a great dinner!

This restaurant is off the charts. Nice atmosphere downstairs and then they have music upstairs. The chef is Aryn and she is amazing. I started with the She Crab Soup, it was filled with Crab meat and delicious. I had the Filet Oscar and it was so tender and cooked to perfection! My husband had the Pork Chop and he said it was the best he has had. Please if you’re in the area go have a wonderful dinner!!!

We’ve lived in Fernandina Beach going on 8 years. We’ve heard about the Crab Trap, but have never been. We went yesterday and will probably never go again. Our meals were luke warm and their snow crab legs resembled the size of blue crabs (wish I took a picture to show). The blackend red snapper wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter fully. Our meal was not worth $142 in my opinion. The menu stated that the red snapper and crab legs were market price (to me that means fresh), but we were clearly served frozen food. Very disappointing to say the least. We should’ve just went to Juicy Crab in River City.

The fried shrimp, fried cod, and fried oysters were all good. Gouda grits were also very good. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery (good portion though) and the hush puppies were awful We had read reviews and decided to take our chances because we used to love to come here on our annual car show trip. You, too, can take your chances!

I grew up with this restaurant and want so much for it to succeed in it’s new evolution! I wanted to give a raving review! I’m so, so sad. I went for early dinner on a week day at about 4. There were plenty of staff hanging out so no problem there.

This restaurant is now being run by a member of the original family. The food is very good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend

less than one star? The only good thing about this place was the fried shrimp I had. For starters we had four people and put our name down at 5:45. We were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. The hostess sat around flirting with one table while another guy cleared tables at the speed of slow. We waited outside for about an hour. At 6:59 four tables were cleared off. We continued to wait until 7:33 when we were finally sat. Our server came over and took our drink order and we were ready to order our food too. We placed all of our orders and my father had to go to the bar after 20 minutes of not getting our drinks. He sat up there for 20 more minutes to get the drinks and asked the bartender to not fill the order if our server put it in. 20 minutes later our waiter returned with the drinks and asked us to repeat our orders so he could put them in. He took the drinks back after we told him that we had asked to not have them made again. We finally got our food and it was decent. Nothing special just average surf and turf. We finished and left promptly. The total cost us about $150 for the worst eating experience we’ve had in a long time. No one in my family recommends this restaurant. Please avoid!
